Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Can anyone recommend a company that will go in to a house, rip out & install an old shower cubicle & shower & install a new one & also finish it professionally for example may have to also do a bit of tiling, a one stop shop so to speak for all plumbing, electrics & tiling
    Thanks

Not sure what the craic is as there was thread in the past few days about their potential demise but Per La Casa by the Gaelic Grounds did just the thing and were quite good. We got a bathroom done in 2011 and we still have no issues bar the usual wear and tear ones.

One of the tiling shops offer this service under a different banner, I think it was called Bathrooms4u and was possibly based out of Right Priced Tiles (whatever place is beside Caseys Furniture).

We had Eugene from myplumber.ie do a lot of work in our house last year after moving in. He did exactly what you're looking for in our upstairs bathroom. Very happy with the end result - he's our go to person for anything plumbing related. No affiliation with him - just a customer.

Cheers, forgot to mention that whoever does it must be registered & tax compliant as it’s for my folks who are OAP’s & there is a grant available which they are applying for, their current setup is dangerous, a couple of falls have been had.

I had Tpgasservices do something similar. They're all tax registered etc. Job was a bit bigger and involved making 2 bathrooms out of one plus a bit of a bedroom. Plumbing and tiling work done to a high standard. Carpentry work not as good but I think that was a bit outside what they usually do and they'd gotten an external third party.

    Get a few quotes anyway.

Tubs & tiles fairgreen, did ours few years ago now. No complaints, lovely bathroom, walk in shower.

Loads of places around now, a few around a long time.

City tiles & bathrooms near screwfix.
Essential bathrooms and tiles near b&q
    PJ Mathews near B&Q

I don't think you can start work until you get the grant better check before you start.

Speaking of bathroom renovations & sorry for jumping in on the thread! Can anybody recommend somebody that refurbishes baths locally? It's an old bath that needs to be resurfaced if that's the correct terminology.

If you are looking for a disabled bathroom fitters try Ambicare, Bathrooms4U or Adapted living.

Bathrooms4u just finished our bathroom a month ago, highly recommend them. Work done to a high standard and left the place spotless each night for the week it took to complete. We asked to change a few things mid way through and nothing was a problem. Couldn't fault them.
