Today's announcement is just one of another incidents in a long list of our best and brightest scientists not doing science, not interpreting research correctly and (potentially) maliciously misinforming the public as to the threat level of this particular virus.

Lab leak origin, droplets vs aerosols, lockdown and mask efficacy (or lack of), ivermectin stifled as a therapeutic due to sketchy EUA rules surrounding vaccine rollout to protect pharmaceutical companies' profits.

The world is paying for the results of bad science while being duped into thinking we are following "the" science.

If today's fiasco doesn't open a few eyes here at home I dont know what the fvck will.

Fauci's email leaks were illuminating to no end.
Tempted to put in an FOI on NPHET communications in the run up to these decisions. God knows the journalists in this country won't bother their holes.

how would you go about the FOI request?
    I'll bloody do it too

Stephen Donnelly on RTE confirmed what a lot of people suspect. Cabinet don't challenge or verify the NPHET advice/modelling data and they agree with NPHET recommendations because "they are the experts". I mean he said they agree with NPHET that only vaccinated people should use the Green Cert even though we have legally signed up to it's use for tested and recovered people also! That's actually funny when you think about it if it weren't so serious. The cabinet has abdicated all responsibility to Tony Holohan and his chums.

A gigantic multi billion euro arse covering exercise is unfolding before our eyes.

You could eat inside in the place your staying though...it is bizarre

Oh I know, I’m booked and all, but it’s a guesthouse so can only have breakfast anyway….we were banking on indoor hospitality being open by then….and now there’s not even a date as to when that will happen? Utterly ridiculous

So what if you dont want a vaccine? Youre not allowed to ever dine indoors??. That wont be lifted ever..its criminal, end of story??. Begining of a very slippery slope. Weeks ago we were told vaccine identification is only for travel so conspiracy theorists are starting to sound right tbh.

You could infect yourself with this "deadly" pathogen and recover

We have experience of it with TB. Almost 10,000 people died from TB between 1950 and 1960.

Oh forgot about that, polio probably around too

So the UK will be back to normal from the 19th July but we will be unable to travel over because they will jack up fines etc in the Irish Airports and then have you pay for test after test

Are they going to do vaccinations 24/7 to improve and help us reopen faster? Will they ****

    No indoor hospitality this summer

Then we can't have indoor hospitality as it will threaten the opening of schools no doubt

Mad that we are more restricted in 2021 than 2020 when we had no vaccinations

Leo just said it was policy not to use this system in ireland and its a change to policy..ergo...tony had changed policy..plus he wont sign off on antigen test and said pcrs are not accetable for travel..how is this not being shredded..he cannot answer and martin looks clueless.

its hard to watch isn't it?? yet watch we must.

That Journal.ie journo is at least asking some decent questions.

MM just using lots of buzz words. Backing Nphet advice to the hilt.

    Utter bolloxs

    Insane.

    "NPHET said this.."
    "NIAC said that..."

From our Taoiseach, the man leading the government and country....

    Absolutely zero leadership. F*ing disgraceful.

If you're young I'd be looking at emigrating out of here ASAP.
