    Hiroshima:
White stylized Katakana character of Hi (ヒ) of Hiroshima on wine red field. The emblem represent harmony, cooperation of people and progress.

    Hokkaido
White fringed red 7 points star on blue field. Blue represents sea and sky of Hokkaido, red stands for people's energy and white for light and snow. Star stands for hope and development.

Why these emblems represent what they do according to the internet is not always clear.

I like both, but there is something simple and elegant about Hiroshima, so I am going with that.

Hiroshima - look at it! It’s cool. Like a double crescent moon floating in the sky. But I fear I’m too late to save it from a terrible fate.

    Thanks Liz.

They call me Granny. I like that because that is what I am.

Hiroshima looks like a dinosaur claw from Jurassic Park or something. What on earth is that doing on a flag?

I'll vote Hokkaido, though not gone on it either; think the blue is a bit too priest-blue for my taste.

Aichi - Can't judge them by colour so have to go with the more aesthetically pleasing symbol/device.

  • Registered Users Posts: 3,783 ✭✭✭KathleenGrant

I love Akita but I can't figure what it is

    So Aichi

Aichi. The other one is like the Nike logo.

    Aichi

One looks a badge on the front of a car, the other looks like a manufacturer logo on a sports jersey.

However, since they're both actually flags, I'm not that fussed on either. I'll go for Akita, slightly slicker design I think.

    Bit of a battering here.

Aichi advances to the Quarter Finals

You are. Actually, everything I’ve been late for this afternoon has gone through the way I wanted and the one thing I voted on went against me. There’s a lesson in there somewhere.

    Fukuoka.

Fukuoka - nicer colour, nicer symbol. No idea what the other one is meant to be - a Humpty Dumpty or something?

  • Registered Users Posts: 2,509 ✭✭✭Purgative

Fukushima prefer the orange, off centre logo. Its edgey but in a very understated way.
