    That's still a bit up in the air imo, but even if it is the case, I still don't think it's good strategy for the government to incentivise even more sprawl. It's more expensive to provide services outside the city, increased infrastructure requirements, increases car dependence (compared to bicycles and public transport) and is environmentally damaging. But for most young people wanting to own a home, this is something that really pushes them toward that.

    Yep and requires a gross salary of c130k based on current mortgage lending rules (500k less 10% state assistance - 450k mortgage / 3.5).
