Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Very poor defending all round there you’d have to say. Gave Fulham what they were looking for.

Oh dear, bit of a howler from Virgil. Also you could imagine Allison saving that, even though it was tough, there's a reason why he is the best in the world.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 5,306 ✭✭✭Widdensushi

If kelleher had shouted surely konate would have left it and things could different now.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 26,518 ✭✭✭✭noodler

Terrible error and not helped by both VVD and Konate subsequently standing off him.

Might be bias from his last appearance but can't help but feel Ali might save that too.

Get one back before HT and it could be ok.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 6,135 ✭✭✭happyoutscan

Awful header by Virgil. Thought Kelliher could have done better but looks like maybe his line of vision was impeded.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 15,774 ✭✭✭✭McDermotX

Joke yellow, but another poor header just before.

    VVD needs to settle

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 6,656 ✭✭✭theoneeyedman

I'd be as hard on Kelleher as anyone but that's not on him. Horrid mix up between Gomez and Virgil, Gomez really ought to have dealt with it, from a standing start Virgil could do f all really.

Concede early, come back win, that's how we roll!

Pereira lucky he wasn't killed!!! :)

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 17,409 ✭✭✭✭Utopia Parkway

Pereira rolling around like he stepped on a land mine.

VVD must have fingers like Edward Scissors Hands and tore the face of Pereira there.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 22,309 ✭✭✭✭citytillidie

If he got treated why is he still on the pitch

    ******

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 3,324 ✭✭✭ratracer

Why did Periera not have to go to the sideline after treatment?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 6,135 ✭✭✭happyoutscan

It's an absolutel mockery how that behaviour isn't pulled up. Happens every bloody game of football and it's completely glossed over.

Refs see it happening and don't even react to the playacting.

Dominik did it a few weeks ago and I nearly lost my own head.

He would do some rolling if he got a hard belt

He should have been brought to the hospital as a precaution. He seemed to be incredibly badly injured.

2 massive dives from Jimenez after running into VVD on purpose. 1 off the ball, 1 on the ball.

Is that actually the law? No 30 seconds if it was a bookable offence?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 15,774 ✭✭✭✭McDermotX

Feel Coote wouldn't mind sending VVD off tonight

    Maybe next time

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 6,135 ✭✭✭happyoutscan

    David Coote reffing.

Been ok so far but he's bound to do something incredibly ******* awful.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 15,774 ✭✭✭✭McDermotX

Aye. Helps against hacking players down I suppose. If treated and a yellow or red is given, on they stay. Along with a few more reasons

If a player is injured, the referee should stop the game if the injury is, or appears to be, serious. If a player is, or appears to be, only slightly injured, the referee allows play to continue.

An injured player can be assessed on the pitch but should not be treated on the pitch unless it is a serious injury.

A player who is assessed or treated on the pitch must then leave, except when:

    a goalkeeper is injured

a goalkeeper and an outfield player collide with each other and need attention

players from the same team collide and need attention

a player is injured by a foul for which the offender is shown a red or yellow card

a penalty kick has been awarded and the injured player will take the kick

    Fair play Diaz

    WTF happened there ?

  • Administrators Posts: 54,136 Admin ✭✭✭✭✭awec

Really hoping this isn’t indicative of our TAA and Salah-less world.

It's an indicator of an Alisson & TAA & Matip & Robbo & Tsimikas & Endo & Szoboszlai & Thiago & half fit MacAllister & half fit VVD & Salah less world.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 28,407 ✭✭✭✭TitianGerm

Just lacking width on the RW. Bradley has had to turn back a few times now because Elliot is running the channel inside the LB rather than Mo's usual touchline hugging run.

Maybe Diaz out there second half and Nunez on the left side.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 16,156 ✭✭✭✭Fitz*

Let's see how long Leno takes this time.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 22,309 ✭✭✭✭citytillidie

Coote will book Leno at the 90 min for all this timewasting

    ******

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 15,774 ✭✭✭✭McDermotX

    HT

    Nasty stuff

Only positive is Kelleher taking out Reed

Zero pressure on Leno apart from the crowd on his time-wasting. Midfield ineffective, disjointed forward line. Couple decent moments from Bradley. Virgil needs to give his head a wobble.

You're bit a bit hopeful there. He won't get booked at all.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 679 ✭✭✭FernandoTorres

Robinson having a good game for Fulham. Think we were linked with him before.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 6,135 ✭✭✭happyoutscan

Nothing wrong with Harrison Reid. Fulham really are taking the piss when it comes to the sportsmanship.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 26,518 ✭✭✭✭noodler

No sympathy, he tried to leave one on the keeper.

I am still 100% sure what Grav's strengths are

    Crap half

Nothing Kelleher could have done with the goal, unsighted and it went through VVD's legs too - who takes the majority of the blame for that goal. On a yellow too and I reckon he will be doing very well not to get sent off as the Fulham players drop like flies when anywhere near him.

We need to step it up. Diaz/Kota/Elliott need to get more involved and have a few attempts on goal.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 15,774 ✭✭✭✭McDermotX

I know he's young, but he gets worse the more times I see him. Looks like he's playing with no studs that half.

A WIP no doubt. Won 1/11 duels over the 45mins apparently.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 4,584 ✭✭✭mormank

If that first half is anything to go by it's gonna be a long month.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 3,068 ✭✭✭SuperTortoise

Just tuned in, how was the first half?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 17,409 ✭✭✭✭Utopia Parkway

Elliott never works as a Salah replacement on the wing. Just doesn’t suit him.

Bradley has played well and looking to make something happen. Coote is a dreadful ref who always looks like the players are bullying him, hopefully he gives us a few howlers in our favour in front of the Kop.

Nunez needs to come on and shift Diaz over to the right, also Gapko for Gravenberch, a draw would be ok given the players we are missing, we should have a stronger team with Szobo definitely back for the return leg.

    Going for 1-1.

Alisson is always a big miss, Kelleher for me always looks small in the goal and he needs to move if he wants to develop, he might only have one more game after this for the rest of the season assuming Alisson does not get injured/sent off.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 28,407 ✭✭✭✭TitianGerm

I didn't realise he was so fast. He has a serious turn of pace.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 14,544 ✭✭✭✭retalivity

    Chappers works for Sky now??

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 1,097 ✭✭✭hawaii501

Does Gravenberch ever have the correct boots on?

Always slipping around, I'd have Nunez on for him and put Elliott back to cm at ht

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 17,409 ✭✭✭✭Utopia Parkway

Gravenberch has been bad again. Had a couple good games early on but no real sign of improvement from him. Early days to be fair but he’s an empty jersey at the moment. Seems to lose a lot of challenges.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 5,306 ✭✭✭Widdensushi

Hook vvd at half time,on a card and seems off the pace.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 16,156 ✭✭✭✭Fitz*

If Elliott actually holds the width then it will allow Bradley to overlap and he looked dangerous when overlapping. But he keeps going walkabout and so Bradley has to stay reserved and can't pass down his channel either.

Midfield is missing, Gravenberch terrible so far, he has to improve. Hopefully he changed his boots at half time to stop him slipping over the whole time.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 15,774 ✭✭✭✭McDermotX

    Konate

    Effortless

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 15,774 ✭✭✭✭McDermotX

Ah Grav........thought you were about to shut us up.

    Better
