Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Ah that's a peach of a goal. Lovely finish from Darwin, brilliant quick passing from the team. We were pretty slow at that in the past, great that we have got our groove back in that way, we can look so good on the break.

    Accurate finish.

    Didn't lash it.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 19,978 ✭✭✭✭Osmosis Jones

Bradley did so many good things for that goal

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 16,164 ✭✭✭✭Fitz*

    Brilliant play there from Bradley.

Very good goal overall. Another goal for Nunez.

    Brilliant from Bradley

    The flop scores again 😎

Great pass, great finish, hopefully he's calming down a bit now.

So happy Nunez has found his scoring boots

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 3,324 ✭✭✭ratracer

Bradley really has super potential! He’s fitted right into the squad.

    Lovely finish by Nunez!

Lovely calm decisive finish from Darwin, actively picks his spot (something he doesn't always do).

Absolutely brilliant from Bradley in the build up though, really excellent stuff from winning the ball, playing a one-two and driving through.

    Should be 3

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 3,205 ✭✭✭McFly85

Should be 3! Bradley having a stormer

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 19,978 ✭✭✭✭Osmosis Jones

    Game should be over really

  • Registered Users Posts: 1,843 ✭✭✭dmigsy

Teams coming to Anfield and playing out from the back is mad. Unless you're a truly elite team, it's a ridiculous approach.

Gakpo's not put a foot right so far

  • Registered Users Posts: 264 ✭✭505_

Wow something else by Gapko that..

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 32,098 ✭✭✭✭~Rebel~

Gakpo has to do better there with the finish - some great play on the attack now though, hopefully our forwards can fill their boots today and build confidence.

Fantastic to see 3 academy graduates playing such big roles in the goals, with Jones, McConnell, and Bradley - the latter two especially, not just there to get minutes but fully taking on responsibility to make things happen.

Conor Bradley having a serious opening 35 mins. Really impressed with him. It might 'only' Norwich but he is only a kid.

Very impressive displays in the 4 or 5 appearances he's made this season. I loved that pull back pass he made to put it on a plate for Gakpo, it was deserved of a goal.

McConnell not afraid to get physical.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 7,614 ✭✭✭eigrod

We have half a dozen really good young players coming through. This after TAA, Jones & Elliott. Klopp and his team of coaches right down the line have been so good.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 32,098 ✭✭✭✭~Rebel~

Grand half, should probably be another goal up, but playing well with plenty of kids involved.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 36,530 ✭✭✭✭BorneTobyWilde

I wonder will the refs and VAR go easy on us in league, knowing it's Klopps last season. I think they will, even subconsciously, 50/50 calls will go our way, instead of usually against.

    LIVERPOOL V WATFORD OR SOUTHAMPTON

Home to Watford/Southampton if we win today

Glen Johnson done well, home tie if we go through.🙏

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 15,407 ✭✭✭✭Vicxas

That’s a nice tie if we win this

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 36,530 ✭✭✭✭BorneTobyWilde

City away to Luton to play on a Cream Cracker size pitch. Tough

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 19,978 ✭✭✭✭Osmosis Jones

Another one Gakpo probably should've scored, great first time pass from Jota

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 2,349 ✭✭✭Zak Flaps

    Jota is deadly!

    He is lethal

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 32,098 ✭✭✭✭~Rebel~

You knew the second that ball was dropping that Jota was going to smash it in.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 19,978 ✭✭✭✭Osmosis Jones

    Diogo!!

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 11,899 ✭✭✭✭klose

Jota is so reliable in the box, what a sharpshooter

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 9,885 ✭✭✭hynesie08

Right, that's that, now let's see the lads have some fun...

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 19,978 ✭✭✭✭Osmosis Jones

Turns out Gibson's better with his back than his head

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 32,098 ✭✭✭✭~Rebel~

I'd rather Jota central and Nunez wide right here... the more Jota's in the mix the better, and Nunez will be effective wherever you put him.

Great to see Szobo back - hopefully he's a bit renewed and refreshed himself after his few weeks out. And Robbo back too, lovely!

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 11,511 ✭✭✭✭Electric Nitwit

What a set of substitutions 🤣

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 32,098 ✭✭✭✭~Rebel~

Major feel good factor to them, especially off the back of the goal!

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 11,511 ✭✭✭✭Electric Nitwit

Yeah, great seeing Robbo back in particular

So nice that Bradley and McConnell were left on too, such trust shown in them

Not great from McConnell there alright... was low at least and didn't make any meaningful contact, but studs very much up, really needed to get the toe pointed instead.

Not a red, but had the ref seen it better, could well have been a yellow.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 36,530 ✭✭✭✭BorneTobyWilde

    Captain !

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 19,978 ✭✭✭✭Osmosis Jones

Goal and assist from substitutes there again

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 32,098 ✭✭✭✭~Rebel~

Great chance for Darwin if Szobo had played it in front of Nunez instead of behind him.

Lovely header from Virg, party time at Anfield!

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 11,511 ✭✭✭✭Electric Nitwit

Watch him defend, and we watch him score 🙂

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 11,511 ✭✭✭✭Electric Nitwit

Was a terrible pass from Szobo, could do with him finding himself again

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 7,420 ✭✭✭facehugger99

Get Salah and Thiago back and we'll have a seriously strong squad for the remainder of the season.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 3,502 ✭✭✭Dick phelan

Jota is so clinical and another goal from the flop Nunez.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 32,098 ✭✭✭✭~Rebel~

Cracker from Borja in fairness... was given too much time and space by Virg, but he really smashed that one in!

Is VAR being used today? The commentators keep saying it is but I thought it wasn't.
