Defenders foot is straight in on his. His 'performance' of falling wasn't great but its not a dive. Just as deserving as Arsenal's pen yesterday (which I also think was a definite pen). If the defender comes in for the ball, doesn't get the ball, and catches the man, its a penalty.

Everyone knows that the foul only gets called if you go down, no matter how definite the contact is, so basically Gakpo's not gotten a penalty because he's not quite good enough at the performance part. A better stumbling fall and that's given.

Spurs really looking very poor. Ange perhaps starting to look a one-trick pony - really needs to show he can adapt next season and change how they play, same as Howe failed to do this season after doing similar (but better) last season.

I am in favour of VAR as I thought it would take the randomness of referee decisions on the day out of it, but all it has done is spread it to another referee to make random decisions and the league is still decided by referees and their interpretations. Don't know whether VAR is worth the hassle if you are still just going to be getting inconsistent decisions on the day.

That is handball, it missed his head and his hand deflected it. The hand was in an "unnatural" position as it is by his head and it had made his body bigger. I would argue by the letter of the law that is handball. It is amazing Spurs have not beaten us at Anfield since 2011 when they seem to be getting a lot of the rub of the green when it comes to referee decisions. Anyone remember Kane almost breaking Robertsons leg and then scoring the equalizer?

We’ve simply been a better team when Elliott’s been on the pitch since the turn of the year. Really wish he’d started a few more games, we might’ve scored first a bit more often and saved our legs from coming from behind a few too many times which has killed our title hopes.

Him being on the bench behind Szobo in some of those key games that put us out of the running in the league looks a huge mistake now - Elliott was flying, and Szobo was in awful form. Could've been a difference maker alright.
