Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Interesting backline with Trent out ill and Matip rested, Milner, Konate, VVD & the Greek

Can't believe Klopp listened to Johnny Giles and dropped Trent...

I’d like to see Minimino given a chance in games like this.

Zaha roasted Milner at RB 2 years ago. Milner got sent off that day too that saw Bobby & Rafael Camacho also play at RB.

Might have to try win this one 4-3 again!

Not sure about that lineup at all

If nearly prefer we start seeing Ox as the backup right back over Milner. Has all the tools. I know he didn’t like playing fullback at Arsenal, but if it gets him minutes on the pitch I’m sure he’d take it in an effort to get sharp enough to be an option in midfield again.

Just worried about Milner’s pace being exposed in that position.

Trent is sick apparently. Not Covid. Robbo rested alright.

Just realised its Zaha v Milner now.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 21,504 ✭✭✭✭martyos121

I’d have even gone for Gomez in at RB before Milner. We have no depth for the position whatsoever, Milner is too slow, Williams isn’t good enough and Fabinho is too important in midfield to sacrifice him back into his old position in his early seasons at Monaco.

Ox isn’t a bad shout either Rebel.

It sounds like the Robbo rest was pre-planned. Which is sound and probably the best idea too.

Matip was always going to be rested, sound.

Also sounds like Trent was just a last minute illness so just threw the line up out of sync. Have no real issues the rest of the team tbh just worried about Milner against the pace of Zaha.

    Is this on TV

Yeah I'm a little worried for Milner at RB against Zaha too. Konate/Henderson inside and ahead of him will need to be on it.

    I'll go 3-1 win

Premier Sports although I would recommend waiting until 14.59 before tuning in as it's just basically the 'Kenny Cunningham slating each Liverpool player individually' show.

On about Salah losing his pace and how poor Thiago is and that Thiago was at fault for Liverpool's poor form last season.

  • Registered Users Posts: 493 ✭✭BobHopeless

He's a piece of work alright, in the Giles standard of punditry id say.

    Lovely, have it on now

  • Registered Users Posts: 493 ✭✭BobHopeless

Never a foul that by Milner. Horrific refereeing

Also was offside completely ignored by the officials

Palace players going in hard no problem, Liverpool players do same free kick.

    WTF was that!?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 60,930 ✭✭✭✭Agent Coulson

Well done Ali getting to that.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 11,791 ✭✭✭✭Charlie19

Zaha has no idea how Becker kept that out, look on his face said it all.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 17,395 ✭✭✭✭Utopia Parkway

Not a very convincing start in defence.

    Some start by Palace..

We are over the shank at the back..

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 12,694 ✭✭✭✭machiavellianme

Milner has no rights being that far forward today against Zaha

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 12,694 ✭✭✭✭machiavellianme

Mané showing some good intentions at least. The Greek seems to bring out the best in him.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 14,539 ✭✭✭✭retalivity

Pool have no RBs in the squad and are playing milner there, whereas Palace have 2 former liverpool right backs on the bench

    Unlucky Henderson

When's the last time we didn't have at least one of TAA or Robbo feature? It feels odd.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 32,042 ✭✭✭✭~Rebel~

Tsimikas playing well… so is Milner to be fair. Might not have the pace, but still has the head.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 36,365 ✭✭✭✭SlickRic

We're quite predictable without Trent so far.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 12,694 ✭✭✭✭machiavellianme

You could say that they are right back where they belong, on the bench!

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 17,395 ✭✭✭✭Utopia Parkway

Palace have looked the slightly more dangerous side to be honest. Not great so far.

    We've been very very poor

Thaigo, Jota way off it so far

Looking way off the pace today. Like running in mud some of them

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 21,504 ✭✭✭✭martyos121

Impressed by Kostas every time I’ve seen him this season. He’s not a huge drop in quality from Robbo, which is great for the squad.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 11,791 ✭✭✭✭Charlie19

Tmiskas is a very capable left back.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 1,798 ✭✭✭Ken Tucky

Palace reverting to putting every man just outside the 18 yard box..gone very defensive

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 28,396 ✭✭✭✭TitianGerm

Shades of Klavan with that step over from Konate 😀

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 36,490 ✭✭✭✭BorneTobyWilde

\Thiago for a small guy always gets up to win a header.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 21,504 ✭✭✭✭martyos121

    How the f**k….

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 17,395 ✭✭✭✭Utopia Parkway

Feck me Jota. Blazes a sitter a mile over the bar.

Jota done what is almost impossible from that distance, put it over the bar. Do that again, geez .

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 60,930 ✭✭✭✭Agent Coulson

We need to start putting away those.

Having an average 25 shots on goal per game we need to start putting them in.

    Very poor by Jota

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 5,081 ✭✭✭Fromvert

Bah both Thiago and Jota should be burying those chances. Turning the screw though

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 28,396 ✭✭✭✭TitianGerm

You won't see a worse miss this season.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 1,798 ✭✭✭Ken Tucky

Our attacking play is leaving a lot to be desired

    Jesus Jota...

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 6,222 ✭✭✭Calvin

    Harder to miss….

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 15,404 ✭✭✭✭Vicxas

    Trent is sorely missed

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 36,490 ✭✭✭✭BorneTobyWilde

Milner doesn't cross it, and then puts us on the back foot, just cross it when you have the chance.
