Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Make no mistake about it, we are in a fight for 4th and losing ground - 9 points behind Arsenal, 5 behind Spurs and probably 4 behind Utd after last night.

That midfield is not up to it.

    We're poor, I get that.

But Klopp should 100% tell Howe to fúck off at the final whistle.

And the ref for allowing their shíthousing.

    It is disgusting.

Delicious that after they time wasted all game.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 36,363 ✭✭✭✭SlickRic

The fanbase is so generally blind to this. He frustrates me to bits.

We've issues far bigger than him, but his style of play is destroying our front 3's dynamic and it's destroying Robertson's game.

He's no clue how to release the ball quickly.

He's no idea of how to make space for others. He's nearly always in Robertson's spaces.

He is so easy to defend against. Usher him a certain way, he'll always choose to dribble, and your team can get back in shape.

Sky sports, the ballbags, couldn't wait a min for the end of the match. Had to get their rubbish ads in. Delighted they missed it

While I agree we know if our team (whoever it may be) we be all up for all manner of time wasting but as it shows here the ref decided to add on more

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 15,726 ✭✭✭✭McDermotX

    Fcuk off Given !

'Oh Mariner looking at his watch, maybe it's broken'

Clearly Shay didn't notice Pope down for a couple mins in injury time......not to mention all their guff all night

    That ones for you Jolenton

    Oh man that's glorious!

Newcastle deserve every frucking inch of that shoved down their throats. Their shythousery and play acting was filthy. Love that grimace on Eddie Howe's face. Drink that bitter vinegar of loss up Eddie.

  • Registered Users Posts: 531 ✭✭✭Infoseeker1975

Karma, there should have been 25 mins stoppage time, teams are taking the piss this year when the directive was to try & cut down on time wasting. Masssive massive momentum boast with Nunez back & Matip to start next game which is a huge improvement on Gomez...Jota back in training & please god they get Klopp a midfielder to help those 2 kids

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 36,363 ✭✭✭✭SlickRic

I hope Klopp goes in on Newcastle.

The time was 100% right to be added on. Pope's 'injury' after VVD's 'challenge' took 2 minutes alone.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 2,798 ✭✭✭Ottoman_1000

I thought this was the season time wasting was going to be addressed, it actually seems worse than ever... Newcastle lay down for the last 30 minutes of that game!!

    Feck I missed the goal!

Delighted, had to leave the room after Pope floundering again wasting time. What the f*ck do these refs be watching allowing that absolute nonsense go on.

Refs need to grow a pair.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 6,644 ✭✭✭theoneeyedman

If they didn't act the bollix the game would have been all over.

Shocking performance though, still seven points dropped in the first month. Newcastle will be in the mix along with us for the top 4,because that team and more that squad is not going to be competing with City for the league.

We'll leave the officiating for another day, but Marriner had a shocker. 5 minutes overtime with all the sh1tting about, was it 10 subs used for instance?? But as Carvalho said, let's not talk about them, let's talk about us.

BTW Young Elliott is a good one 👍

Will take that not a great performance but got over the line, are Newcastle up to them antics every game 1st time I've seen them play this year

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 11,791 ✭✭✭✭Charlie19

Have a read back through this thread and hold your heads in shame, some of the posts are absolute tripe.

Yes we could do with another midfielder but don't question this sides commitment, attitude or ability.

Delighted with that. About time shithousery got punished. That was as bad as anything I’ve seen by Howe and Newcastle. Should’ve been 10 mins injury time in both halves.

No we didnt rob them at all. They scored and went on to play the most cynical **** imaginable. They deserved nothing from that game.

Liverpool were very poor but attempted to play

  • Registered Users Posts: 391 ✭✭bdmc16

Delighted to see all the time wasting and cheating catch up with Newcastle. Big release of pent up frustration for that winner.

Hendo are real concern, thought he was absolutely terrible and can't be starting games now.1-1 trying to ramp of momentum and hes strolling off being subbed wasting at least 2mins.

We desperately need midfield additions and just hope we can do something tomorrow.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 36,363 ✭✭✭✭SlickRic

    I'm all for gamesmanship.

But that was worse than anything I've ever seen from the worst Mourinho teams.

    It was just cheating.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 15,726 ✭✭✭✭McDermotX

I wonder will that McManaman bell-end have any issues with the injury time considering he was bigging up Newcastle's gamesmanship and general sh1thousery at HT

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 22,295 ✭✭✭✭citytillidie

Newcastle we’re like that from the 1st minute

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 3,661 ✭✭✭DJIMI TRARORE

Papers over the cracks, imo, great result, poor performance again, they kept going for 100 mins, but Mo was anonymous for most of it, midfield is septic, hopefully injuries clear up soon

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 16,103 ✭✭✭✭Fitz*

There's something alot sweeter winning in that manner after all the time wasting etc.

Elliott & Carvalho though. 2 starboys.

  • Registered Users Posts: 1,111 ✭✭✭Akabusi

Take that one, great to see the time waisting didn't work for them. There should be a stop clock introduced to cit out that carry out.

Elliot had a great game and Bobby did okay as well.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 2,798 ✭✭✭Ottoman_1000

Elliot was the best player on the pitch so I would not include him in a group as septic....if you want to look at underperforming players tonight, I'd be looking at our fullbacks, Henderson and our highest paid player!

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 6,121 ✭✭✭happyoutscan

Those 'injuries' need a stop clock. Pope at it all season, obviously a directive from Howe. Good enough for him.

Legal cheating and I am not disagreeing but look that what some teams do and Mourinhho did sink this low on a few occasions. His parking the bus and zero striker and attacking midfielders at united were horrible
