I'm sorted now anyway. Got Pfizer yesterday. I'm grand apart from my arm feeling as if Mike Tyson used it as a punch bag.

Well... see you there then i suppose.

All of the above for me as well.

Bit of a delay but all in all it went pretty smooth.

Didn't have the greatest of days yesterday.
Knees felt like I had done a marathon without preparation and fell asleep about 174 times during the day.
That is all gone today though.
Just the muscle they put the shot in is a bit sore.

    Mid-50s, Co. Galway
Registered on May 12 or 13, was told it would be a wait of 3 or 4 weeks to be notified of appointment, which would then be 3-5 days later.
Instead I got an appointment next day (May 14, Friday) for the following Monday afternoon.
Had vaccination (Moderna) at Galway racecourse. Extremely well organised, polite, efficient. In and out in 30 minutes, incl. 15 minutes observation where you just sit and wait.
Jab itself wasn't very painful, just a little sting, and I had next to no after effects, just a slight soreness in the muscle the next day.

Also, one of the staff members said they're doing the age groups about a year per day at that site.

On the whole, from my experience the HSE is doing a phenomenal job on this. High praise for all the staff making this happen.

I’m just wondering if anyone has successfully unregistered on the vaccine portal and then reregistered with a different postcode? I’m sick of waiting here in the East Meath area. I’m 55-60 category, have called helpline and been ‘prioritised’ twice. I work with the public and have already had to restrict my movements a few times due to Covid. Feeling really vulnerable and nervous at this stage. I’m wondering if I could use a postcode of parents in another county? Is this allowed? Has anyone else done this?

I tried to re-register, and as another poster said,it was the pps that stopped me. I've been onto the helpline twice, got my case number, and have been asked to ring again tomorrow if I don't hear anything in the meantime. I may ask them to delete my registration and I'll start again using my parent's address in Dublin. Age 60, Drogheda, just about 4 weeks waiting now.

Gipi - I feel your anguish. The delay in our area is beyond ridiculous now. I wish you the very best of luck.

Did you tell her the internet is waiting?

So she was in and out in 35 minutes, including the 15 min wait after being jabbed.

They were working off a backup list, filling in after some cancellations.

Pfizer unfortunately, so we missed out on the 1 in 500,000 pay-off-your-mortgage prize draw.

edit: so now the status in her app has been updated to "Awaiting appointment 2", so they do update the system even after working off handwritten lists!

Parents in their 60s offered AZ vaccine, despite being high risk and entitled to mRNA vaccine.no luck ringing the helpline. Disgraceful

I might be missing something, but what is disgraceful?

Don't worry you ain't the only one wondering what's actually disgraceful mainly because it's not.
