Blue skies slowly starting to appear among fed cloud in D5. Bit of sun coming through

Southern and south-eastern England is having a fairly poor second half of June, they didn't get any of the nice sunshine we had last week. It was fairly wet there last week and plenty of showers there over the next few days and cool for the region too. The Atlantic looks set to take over from the weekend and next week is looking on the mixed side.

Eastern and southern Ireland has probably had a better June overall than much of England. The first week of July still looks very uncertain with models playing around with very warm and settled weather as well as unsettled and Atlantic dominated conditions.

Clear skies to my north, south, east and west but a stubborn area of cloud over Dunshaughlin is taken it's time to thin and break up. The sun is poking through every now and then but nowhere nearly as good as the sun we had yesterday. Temperature currently 19C which is average for the time of year.

In North Kildare, close to the Meath border, there is mid-level cloud close by however I'm in the sunnier area, just about. I'd say the sun is not shining a few kilometres away. 22.7° here and feeling warmer than that owing to the lack of any wind.

Sun breaking through now but still alot of clouds around. Temperature now 21C so it's feeling mild to warm in the sun.

2 lovely sunny days in West Clare, very much enjoying, however the wind is strong and temperatures very disappointing. Max over the 2 days of only 17.8°c, however if you're sheltered you hardly even need a t-shirt.

Lovely day, warm in the sun, and cool in the breezy shade. Sun more often than not shone through high cloud but could be worse. Out for much of the afternoon and still can't seem to get beyond that vampiresque whiteness. Really hard to become a person of tan in this country.

Funnily enough, despite my complaining here lately I've actually managed to get a fairly decent farmers tan. Thanks to COVID, I've not spent this much time outdoors everyday since I was a child.

Sun has been fairly strong here the last two days, little in the way of high cloud which all seemed to lie to the east of me.

Dry day in cork city, had about an hour of sun but it's just been grey skies all day mostly. Unfortunately

It was still a lovely day, though, despite the early cloud which did burn off and nice to be sitting out in shorts and a t-shirt at 9pm.

Having a morning coffee in the garden, shorts and a teeshirt, suns belting down. D17

    Beautiful sunny morning in D5

The dull cold June continues in the Northwest.

Yesterday it got sunny in afternoon for a few hours and got "up" to 16c

Last year by now we had about 15 days above 20c this year just 4.
