That tower block was taken out.

Hope all residents got out safely.

Tel Aviv for comparison. New stream, 40 mins old, see no evidence of attacks

It's a YouTube live cam of Gaza and Tel Aviv. Don't worry, it's not a link to a Page 3 girl or anything like that. That might upset you.

    It's not even monetized I don't think.

How anyone can defend the actions of the Israeli government is beyond me, especially Irish people who are subject to an occupation themselves. Israel would not be as bold in their bullying tactics without the backing of the Jewnited States, who are the ultimate bully boys. The influence of Jews in a slow genocide is not surprising, they use the holocaust as a free pass to eradicate their enemies, but are just as bad, and worse in some cases, although nazi Germany set a high benchmark. That still doesn't excuse their behaviour.

while i agree with what you are saying, you should change "jews" to the state of israel and it's supporters.
plenty of jews, probably most really, disagree with the behaviour of israel and don't believe the holocaust gives them an excuse to behave how they see fit.

I'm not upset by page 3 girls, I don't want to support the Sun in any way, by increasing their hits, or otherwise.

The Sun is a diabolical paper. A hateful rag.

What is Israel's proclaimed justification for the assaults and human rights abuses?

Yeah, the israelis/jews are cowards they can only fight now with all their power to crush a powerless people.

Anyone who denies the cowardice of the israelis should ask themselves why it only took 3 or 4 guards to march thousands of jews to their deaths because the nazis knew that not one of them would have the guts to sacrifice themselves.

I know it's harsh to say but it's the truth, it's part of the reason they have become such aggressive bullies to try and wash away the fact that deep down they are the most cowardly people in all of human history.

Abusing the men, women and children who were murdered by the Nazis in concentration camps is, I think, the worst thing I have ever seen on this site. What is wrong with you?

How are you so hateful that you can attack the people murdered by the Nazis?

It's always the same guff isn't it? 'The Palestinians started it' / 'we are protecting our people' etc.

If you look at almost any interview where an Israeli ambassador is challenged, they almost always resort to anger, whataboutery, and accusations of anti-semitism.

There's hardly any effort to even construct a reasonable defence - they feel entitled to continue in their illegal and immoral work, and they know they will get away with it too.

Actually Apartheid south Africa lasted as long as it did due in no small part to US blocking action against it at the UNSC level for many years. once that stopped its end was assured. Likewise Rhodesia.

US needs to wake up an realise their Israeli friend is also tarnishing their image across the globe. They are enabling a serial abuser.

The aim of Hamas is to destroy Israel and kill all Jews not just in Israel but in the entire world. Not only that. Hamas also seek the conquest of the entire world for Islam.
Hamas ideologically are no different than the Taliban Boko Haram Al Qaeda and ISIS.

What was the population of the West Bank and Gaza in 1967 and what is the population now?
    Then come back

That's much what we see of the ambassador in the Sky News piece

The population rise is a response to genocidal policies of the Israelites maybe?

What do you think of the demolition of apartment buildings in Gaza by the IDF or the eviction of Palestinians, to be replaced by Jewish settlers, in East Jerusalem and the West Back?

If you have a point to make you are welcome to make it under your own steam, rather than shifting the burden of proof, and getting people to be mind readers. I have no idea what your thesis is.

It's clear from the ambassador's rant that the Israeli govt doesn't see the distinction, they think that as long as Hamas is viewable as a Palestinian leadership than all of Palestine is terrorist.

That may be the case, but it is Israel which has birthed and raised Hamas. By dehumanising and abusing the Palestinians, they turn moderates into extremists.

Israel is an ethno state in the same way the Islamic Republic of Iran is. Why do you make it sound worse than Iran?

because iran is open about what it is and doesn't pretend to be a western style country, it is open about being a rogue state.
israel pretends to be a western style democracy all the while engaging in war crimes on a daily basis along with all possible human rights abuses, breaches of international law and human rights law, colonisation, expansion of it's borders at will, demolition of minorities homes within it's borders, arrests and abuse of children, stealing people's land, and loads more.
that is why it could be argued that israel is worse then it's neighbours, because while their neighbours behave awefully no question, they are somewhat open about what they believe, even if some states try and make out they are welcoming to westerners themselves.

Because Jews, some people have a serious problem with Jewish people

    nope.
while some people certainly have a problem with jews and they are wrong, the criticism of israel is based on it's behaviour, and comes from plenty of people who have no issue with jews what soever.
What other first world countries have rockets fired at its citizens daily?

thankfully no other, but then again most first world countries don't engage in the actions israel engage in.
however the good news is that israel knows what it must do to at least help stop rockets being fired at it.

It is, compared to Lebanon, Syria and a few other Arab states. Every time fighting like this kicks off, the many Palestinians who work in Israel have to stay home and don't get an income so they suffer the law of unintended consequences. Hamas clearly don't give a flying **** about their own people,as they are prepared to have Gaza flattened to achieve the square root of nothing. Even Hizbollah, not known to be unwilling to fight to the death against Israel, realised that they were on a hiding to nothing by fighting Israel. They effectively dominate a large chunk of Lebanon so they somewhere to live and as long as they don't provoke Israel, they get to live normal lives.

the last time israel went up against Hizbollah they got their arses handed to them dispite being a much much stronger force.
that is why there is no fighting between them and israel, because israel won't be so stupid as to expand that way for now.
if israel does, they will get their arses handed to them again.

What other western governments? I think that we, the USA, are on our own on this one. Biden is not going to rock the boat when it comes to Israel.

For some odd reason Israel has a right to self defense, but the Palestinians do not. Even stranger that peaceful resistance like BDS is somehow violent anti-semitism as well. Basically, Israel and the West expect the Palestinians to roll over and die.

The Palestinians don't have the resources to defend themselves against Israel. I've lost count of the number of times that they've attached Israel, and Israel have turned around and kicked their ass. They need to sit down and talk with Israel.

The apartment building destroyed by the IDF was a Hamas position. Fair game.

Israel cannot survive without controlling the Jordan River valley and high ground on the west bank. Jerusalem is the historic Jewish capital of Israel and the Temple Mount is where the Second Temple was and where the Third Temple will be built.
