Ethernet Cable will Not Connect to Firestick

st wondering if anyone might know why i cant connect now to the Firestick with an ethernet Cable only wifi ,

i have tried the usual restarting , turning modem off different cable etc,

im thinking its going to have to be a reset,

having said that i tried another firestick with its own cable etc same issue

any hep appreciated thanks.

What are you trying to connect to the firestick with?

An app of some sort?
Is your device on a WiFi network when you are connecting to the firestick?

Does the firestick connect to the Internet?

Is there an IP address showing on the firestick Ethernet port?

OK.

If the Ethernet isn't being detected:
One fix is to unplug the stick, unpug the adapter from the stick, unplug the power.

Then connect the adapter to the stick. Plug the stick into the TV.

And lastly, plug the power in.

If that doesn't work then try plugging into a different hdmi port.

it always worked before i used the amazon adapter that connects to firestick u just plug ur ethernet and power supply for some reason now its just connecting
too wifi only i have another amazon adapter same issue so im sort of ruling that out now and another firestick same issue

Just tried what you said wanderez still same strange

i know the ethernet cable is working its connecting to my laptop fine
