    Hi All,
we are looking at potentially buying in the Seabury area in the next couple of months and moving from Meath closer to the sea. We will have two children aged 10/11 years old. Im just wondering what the area is like to live in, regarding amenities, raise a famiy etc and what the school options in the area, are there any issues regarding secondary or primary schools that I should aware of (accessibility etc...)
    Thanks in advance

Ah you'll not find a better place to raise kids! We absolutely love it here. Seabury is quite an affluent area and full of families. There's lots going on generally for kids between sports clubs and sailing and drama classes etc.

Only issue you may face is getting them into the local secondary school. It is very oversubscribed. You should be OK for primary though.

Second the above. Beautiful location but not too city like. I used to enjoy evenings there when living in Portmarnock

thanks for the replies, how would one go about applying for the local secondary school and do you know if there are any steps being taken to alleviate the over-subscription you mention? If not there were are Seabury residents sending their children for secondary school.
    Cheers

As Seabury is just as close to Swords as Malahide I would imagine they would go to one of the secondary schools in Swords. Fingal Community College for example is about a 5 minute drive away.
