Apologies if this is in the wrong place, but I'm wondering whether it's too late to sow brussels sprouts seeds for a harvest this year? I have a greenhouse (southern facing) if that makes a difference...

All going well, looks like I might get some sprouts just in time for Christmas :) (edit: getting a feed would be great, but the main reason I'm going to try growing them is coz they look fascinating with those stalks!)

You don't need a greenhouse for sprouts - rather the reverse, they are tastier (!) after they have been frosted. But even for sowing, the weather is suitable now for sowing them in pots in a sheltered place or indoors (or in the greenhouse) but then grow them on outside.

Thanks for that! I am thinking of growing them in 5 gallon fabric pots, but am wondering whether I should go bigger to get a decent crop.
