Hi all We have a site in West Donegal and we’re thinking of going for a prefab house about 1500 sq ft. Looking at one website they quote about €290000 for a 1600 sq ft house. Anyone got any experience or thoughts?

You could comfortably build a 1600 sq foot "block build" house for that money. Im certainly no fan of any type of timber house but you might be lucky and get a planner who is more open minded than the others.

What type of "prefab" house are you referring to?
