Any EU legislation that compels personal details to be erased?

    Can I quote any EU or Irish legislation when requesting that a legal entity remove my personal details from their records.

    In general, but in this case it is an international charity with a branch in Ireland. They don't seem to understand that I just don't want their nuisance emails, or tax emption forms posted to me.

    We're not suffering, only complaining 😞

    Under GDPR they must correct data when requested (including marketing permissions). They must hold your data for no longer than needed, and you have a right to be forgotten
