Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

    Hi there,

I am looking at purchasing a house in this area & was wondering if anyone has any opinions on it? If it largely owner occupied in the area or student rentals?

    Thanks in advance.

Lots of students. All the 1970s and 80s estates are to some extent.

Take a look for nearby houses on the RTB register to see if they're rented out (albeit the register is incomplete and not all rentals are students) and just generally look at the condition of the nearby houses - student rentals are usually very down at heel.

The layout of the dormers can be... strange, particularly if someone has put an extension on or hacked them around to have three beds. There at least used to be significant issues with getting Virgin - and they are the only game in town for broadband, 12x faster than anyone else - but that may have been fixed

That said, I tried to buy a two bed dormer myself before buying elsewhere in the town. From memory the kitchen/diner was more than a decent size for a two bed, as were the bedrooms.
