Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Imagine how much they would drag this on if the kiddies had actually drowned.

Peggin? Anyone know what that means?

I believe it's getting nailed by your missis with a strap on. However maybe it means something else in this context..

The issue here is parents letting their children, who are no strong swimmers, unsupervised in the sea.

Maybe they're using a false name and her real name is Peigín.

Charge all beach goers entering that beach to pay for the lifeguards.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 43,028 ✭✭✭✭SEPT 23 1989

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 3,430 ✭✭✭KaneToad

Why didn't someone tell me that this body of open water, that I know nothing about, wasn't safe for me to swim in?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 6,197 ✭✭✭NeinNeinNein

A refund policy if someone drowns.

Why wasn't this woman more careful with her family - always somebody else to blame - Waterford County Council escaped a bullet here.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 26,107 ✭✭✭✭zell12

If they'd closed the beach, this one would've knocked down the barrier with entitlement

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 3,133 ✭✭✭Mervyn Skidmore

Would love if they closed the beach now.

ffs if they closed the beach they'd be on giving out.

Why thank God for putting people there to save the kids, but not curse him for letting kids get into trouble?

You can't have it both ways if you believe in the cloud God.

You'd swear there's a law she's about to quote to show it's not the responsibility of parents to supervise their children while they're in the sea

    Ethnic minorities with feral children?

Jaysus we live on an island in an OCEAN with thousands of Kms of coastline and hundreds of beaches and this wan wants big flashing red signs and sirens up everywhere to warn about potential dangers of the ocean. How about TEACHING your kids how to swim properly from a young age and the importance of respecting open water!

The mammies sound like they're after a claim for PTSD or negligence.
