Katie's sighing is coming on well. Sounds like this lad needs to get a job in a different postal zone.

I'm sorry but this fella needs to grow a pair of balls and stand up for himself

I used to stand up for myself in my public job, but I was sometimes in hot water for doing so. In fact I literally lost my job over it, but it did me a favour as I was on full pension.

I wonder if he's one of the chatterers while on the till - that gets really bloody annoying.

He seems to have terrible social anxiety however. I do understand that job would really help with that...until you get roasted by some bollix

Sometimes though you need to turn a blind eye and ignore the behaviour. As someone mentioned earlier managing ques isnt his job.( management should be doing this ).

She should have told the customer if she waited 10 minutes she would get a better deal

I got eaten one morning by a lady in front of me at the till when the cashier pushed the button for the conveyor belt and my vegetables landed up on top of this ones bottle of vodka. I said nothing but she was eyeing me up still when I got out to the carpark. I don't think she understood who operates the controls on the conveyor belt.

    Joe would have enjoyed this

It was a good job it wasn't Patrick Kavanagh taking care of the ward... grumpy ould fella, what a name to give a hospital ward "the patrick Kavanagh ward"

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 12,363 ✭✭✭✭Del.Monte

This is wasted on Katie - multiple deaths is Joe's department.

It's because he wrote a poem about it

"A year ago I fell in love with the functional ward
Of a chest hospital: square cubicles in a row
Plain concrete, wash basins - an art lover's woe."

I think people who are clearly still grieving call in as it is cathartic to talk but it doesn't make it right to expliot them. It'd be like putting a mic in the centre of the room at a counciling session

Great poet, not a great carer Bill as Dunphy might say

Just stick a mic into any undertakers or hospital where people are behind curtains and you have all the material for an endless series of shows.
