    Hi,
    Been receiving text messages in the last few mins, every few mins saying the following
    "Use code XXXXX to continue with your application. Thanks BOI"
    ( 6 messages in 10 mins)

    the number it came from is showing as being from BOI, based on previous transactions completed with BOI

    Thanks for getting in touch with us here on Boards.ie. 

    This message would be sent if you are applying for one of our products on our website(loan/current account etc). This code would be used as part of our security verification process. If you did not apply for a product, this could mean another customer has input your number in error while going through the application process. You should not receive any other texts in relation to this as they cannot continue with the application until they receive a code to their own number.
