Any word on the roll-out of this?

Quite a lot of media coverage on this.

Would suggest listen back to RTÉs “Saturday with Katie hannon” show from yest

Should be available as a podcast or stream on the RTÉ radio 1 site.

The media or the Government have not mentioned anything as to how it its being rolled-out anywhere i have seen.
I have also asked around and no-one seems to know when/how it will be implemented.
I am pretty confident someone here may have an idea...

    That's simply crazy.
Do you know how its going to be rolled out or not.
I am sure there be others here also interested...

I know all of that which is why i came here. What i am asking is say...

I want to get Covid passport.
How do i go about obtaining this and the exact rules pertaining for same.
We have been told what we need but not how we can get it.
I notice on the google that you mention that the EU are accepting the UKs NHS confirmation...
How will our Covid passport roll-out work...

The basics are known but perhaps there are certain details that aren't as easily known such as what dates each European Countries are implementing this. Ireland is July 19th. Others are July 1st and there could even be some implementing it in August?
Also some Countries only require an Antigen test but Ireland requires the more expensive PCR test etc.

Some people forget that non vaccinated people from the States and possibly even the UK still need to home quarantine and undergo additional tests under the current rules proposed even with a negative PCR test.

The rules are still preventing full free travel.

I was assuming there was a system in place where we could we would be able to obtain Covid passports we were told we have signed up for....
It seems no-one here knows either...

If you'd taken the trouble to read literally anything about it you'd know that the details aren't available yet.

Because it's May. The system is to be introduced by the EU on 21 June and member states have up to 6 weeks to implement it. It will be July before it's implemented here so expecting details in May is unrealistic, given the every evolving situation with Covid and with IT issues in Ireland.

Likely it will be a smartphone app linked to your passport or data held/added to your passport so that when it's electronically scanned it shows you as being vaccinated. It will not be a piece of paper.

Point me to where you read that as i have being looking....

Then when the announcement was made they should simply said this.
I did read that all of the data was on the HSE system and this may present a problem...

I do not know how long it would take to set an app to do all of this.
There may already be an app in place like there is in other places...
I find it confusing that we were not told of the roll-out of this..

Most recently I read it on a link posted on this thread.

Plenty of information for you here. Looks like July 1st is the proposed launch date. https://www.schengenvisainfo.com/news/ireland-to-welcome-travellers-from-eu-us-uk-from-july-19/

That's not really what is been asked.
When will the roll-out of the actual document/app happen.
It is already in place in UK and some EU countries...

You are the only person who doesn't know the roll out on this. The EU has given the start date. The Taoiseach and various ministers have given the exact date on which it will be implemented in Ireland. The details of how it works were posted on this thread. Every newspaper and TV and radio station has covered it.

All of the info you mention is everywhere but that is not what i asked

No-one has said how and when we can get this certificate.
This is what i ask but you want to talk about something everyone knows and avoid the topic...

It's in two links on this thread. The Taoiseach gave the exact date. The EU described how the process will work.

So the EU told you how, as did every news outlet and the government told you when, as did every news outlet.

In fact every detail that's available has been given on this thread.

Right, from what I can gather, when you've had both vaccines you can go online somewhere and get this certificate either on your phone or as paper print out. This then gets scanned at the airport going and coming and that's the only difference to normal travelling unless you are going to or coming from one of the higher risk countries. If you're not fully vaccinated you can still get the certificate if you can get a pcr test or prove that you have had the virus within the last 6 months.

I will be fully vaccinated by July 1st so I will be able to travel to pretty much all of the EU and Switzerland without restriction. I see the UK is on some countries mandatory quarantine lists.

I think I'm right in this but I would welcome correction.
