So this project kicked off in 2019.

Its now nearly halfway through 2021 and this is still in its inital phases. Lets have a quick look at the problems and sheer stupidity of this road project.

The Round-a-bouts are being dug up again, it doesn't take an civil engineer to see their too big for purpose. In fact at the old bridge if two or more trucks are coming the entire round-a-bout is blocked up for other vehicles.

The new road connects to a one way system at the bridge. Absolutely stupid which requires cars and trucks to stop up at the round-a-bout (blocking it and other cars) and pedestrians have no footpath access here, walkers are basically at the mercy of cars and trucks passing here. So this is just it? Build a brand new road and keep that old system of a one way bridge.

Kerbs destroyed and slipformed again. Entire sections dug up and are currently sitting thrown over the wall down past the hospital into the field. They did not even remove the evidence of this **** show. The drainage system is also too low, they dug it up and are now increasing their levels by laying blocks around the catch pits. They had to spend more money bringing in private surveying consultants to check their levels because DICK AND TOMBOY with their construction management degrees cant do proper land surveying :pac:.

Entire ROUND-A-BOUT x 2 being dug up including the traffic islands at Roberts Hill and Kilcreene. Bricks dug up and thrown aside (whos paying for all of this??)

Footpaths laying in stones not even crushed and levelled for pedestrians to walk on. At least have a bit of common courtesy for the people this is affecting (2019-2021 to build a road, The romans would have had it done ages ago).

I really don't know what else to say other than this is a complete joke, SIAC and those involved have really **** the bed on this job but the lack of accountability in owl Ireland strikes again.

    Thoughts and opinions?

*EDIT* Might I add that SIAC was also involved on the Callan road a few years ago, and before they dug it up recently as part of this job It was collapsing at the footpath kerb. You might recall the time they dug it up before the lockdown and it remained a one way system for months into last summer. Again, another sign of a complete failure of an Irish construction company but yet they keep getting the contracts here?
