Another one I remember being in the charts. Wasn't pushed about it at the time and that hasn't really changed.

there was a lot of it played in my mam's house as I was growing up, so that's why I like so many.

my own kiddo's know a lot of these songs too from me playing them here every so often, and hearing them up in the granny's place too

I was at a punk festival in Donegal in 2008 in a field down at the end of a lane in the back arse of nowhere. But there happened to be a real pub also at the end of this lane. So while nothing was going on in the afternoon before bands started up, everyone was in the pub. As you can imagine, everyone was wearing black, lots of piercings, tattoos, chains, mohawks. As this was a pub in rural Ireland there wasn't any punk music on the jukebox, so people were putting on what was deemed an acceptable crossover, AC/DC, Metallica etc from the selection available.

Then the next track on the jukebox came on... Barbie Girl by Aqua. There was silence for one second and then everyone broke their arses laughing at what was the most unlikely song to be heard at a punk festival. Cue 100 punks singing Barbie Girl in a pub. I will forever like this song for that incident.
Turn Back Time was a legitimately good tune, wasn't it?.....

    Yes, yes it was!

I wasn't there, but I've actually heard this story from a couple of people who were, a lot of whom would've frequented Fibbers, so it then became a bit of a "running gag" in Fibbers to throw it on at random every so often and it was always great when it did.
