Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

I said it before the race; I hoped that Max and Lewis would be out of the race and we'd get a better race, and that's what's happened!

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 4,573 ✭✭✭JeffKenna

    Remember it's a marathon Lewis

Gasly has earned that podium spot if he gets it.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 9,028 ✭✭✭PsychoPete

That had to be down to Hamiltons brakes?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 18,099 ✭✭✭✭Busi_Girl08

Did Ham do that deliberately? It looks like such a rookie mistake for him to make.

According to Hamilton it was down to Hamilton.

Well done Checo and Vettel. Both did brilliantly this weekend.

    And Gasly!

    Well earned win for Checo

    What a brilliant podium!

Lol at Hamilton finishing between Mazepin

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 18,330 ✭✭✭✭namloc1980

Vettel! Delighted. Thought Leclerc caught Gasly.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 40,366 ✭✭✭✭Itssoeasy

Get in checo. Good stuff. I excepted someone to do something but not Lewis Hamilton making such a costly mistake.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 12,279 ✭✭✭✭MadYaker

That was epic! Delighted for Vettel, great to see some different drivers on the podium!

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 14,295 ✭✭✭✭ctrl-alt-delete

Seb is loving life on the radio there.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 4,175 ✭✭✭bennyx_o

Was not expecting that at all, epic finish. Vettel driver of the day IMO

Vettel reminding us what he's made of, what a drive

How close was Perez to having a mechanical failure there I wonder. Thank god it lasted, Sergio Perez multiple Grand Prix winner. Absolutely delighted

Gutted for Max but thankfully Hamilton screwed up. Delighted for Perez and Vettel! Really enjoyed that.

Great finish from Gasly there he was under some serious pressure. Fair play to checo as well, he didn't back out when Hamilton pushed him and lost it.

Well that’s impossible according to many here because Hamilton never believes anything is his fault.

You must have heard him wrong.

Still a good result for Lewis.

Was on course to drop 10 points to Max

Not parking the Mercedes medical car in the P1 slot was negative craic.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 8,219 ✭✭✭Gaoth Laidir

And in the end Bottas finished ahead of Hamilton...:pac::pac:

That was great fun, can we have a two lap race at every event?

Looks like Lewis had the break magic switched on by accident or something

  • Moderators, Computer Games Moderators Posts: 10,498 Mod ✭✭✭✭Andrew76

What was Hamilton referring to there? On the wrong setting?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 40,366 ✭✭✭✭Itssoeasy

Sounds like Lewis didn’t turn on(or off) something to do with the brakes prior to the restart.

Perez seems to be getting a lot of love from the Red Bull hierarchy

Looks like Lewis made a mistake on the restart. His brakes were practically on fire.

Great result for young Mick finishing ahead of the reigning (and a 7 time) world champion :pac:

That magic button will make for a nice little technical investigation.

Why did Perez stop on track? Potential penalty for next race?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 5,686 ✭✭✭Charlie-Bravo

Red Bull delighted they have a driver to cover them when stuff happens.

No penalty, the race was over. There was an issue with his car and they told him to pull over and stop.

Looks like they were VERY close to a car failure

I guess the team aren't allowed tell Lewis to turn off the magic because it was a formation lap for a standing restart?

So making up lies about someone is fine but calling it out needs to be ‘given up’.

    Got it.
