I actually am being serious. Is there something I'm missing here.!?

Shane mentioned being afraid of a video game, but is being very secretive with the answer. so maybe its some joke that I'm not getting

    He meant:

He never intended to say anything about a video game. Only the music video.

    There is no video game.

John Newman - Love Me Again

Woohoo, I am consistent(ly mediocre!) :pac: I'll honestly be quite happy if the rest of the rounds work out similarly.

    LiVIzNs.png

I picked the John Newman one because the first time I heard it was on Jools Holland....and it was not good. His voice is really irritating in the live version, which is why I was surprised when I first heard the studio version and actually quite liked it because his voice seemed a lot more bearable.

Lizzo - Good As Hell :: submitted by
    JP Liz V1

So this video. I was like... oh dear, this is gonna be some sad mopey thing cause her boyfriend left her and now she cant get on the cheerleading team and nobody likes her music and then the song started and I was like. "OMG. This is the song my kids love whenever it comes on the radio and I have to turn it up full volume in the car.!!!" I always missed who sang it but i know now and now I know who Lizzo is lol. Great song. Really enjoyed this. Excellent in the shower. Meets EN's criteria of being short and banging and I just really enjoyed this as I do everytime the kids make me turn it up and we all sing along the chorus together :D

Poor live performances must run in the family; his big brother got nul points in Rotterdam a couple of weeks ago. :(

Despite the fact they have different first names, I definitely thought they were the same person until right this very second when you said they were brothers. :pac:

    Agnes Obel - Familiar

    Heard the artist: No
    Heard the song: No

    My rating: ★★★★☆

    Review

Musically this is stunning, I’m not crazy about the vocals. Very glass sounding going with the concept album theme. I could see this in movies, maybe it has been already. The piano, violin all sound beautiful. Definitely an artist I need to check out more and I think the rating reflects that in this case. Decent song and a very interesting pick.

Glad you liked it. It was in the German TV series Dark on Netflix, that's where I and a few million other people heard it first. That TV show (which I highly recommend) gave me more new bands and artists than any other show I've watched.
Just catching up and obviously I think you're wrong, this is their best song that isn't Zombie :p

Ah well, was a bit of an odd pick. My reasoning was that it was so different to any of their singles, so showed another side to them

I genuinely love this song, the contrast between the two halves is great, the solemnness of the first half, describing being in a bad relationship, and the sheer joy of the escape in the second, such that even the daffodils are lovely!

Well done EN, you describe Daffodil Lament perfectly there. I'm with you, even if we seem to be a very small group :o

One of the greatest TV Shows ever made.
