Fun fact on the Staffordshire knot

One legend of its origin, generally considered mythical, is that three convicted criminals who had committed a crime together were due to be executed in Stafford gaol. There was argument over who should be hanged first but the hangman solved the problem by devising this knot and hanging the three simultaneously.

The stars on the Isles of Scilly flag look like the pattern of the islands.... goes off to Google..... yes indeed they are!!! Everyday is a school day.

No idea why Bedfordshire has shells and waves considering it’s an inland county.

I’ll go for Scotland as it’s the way they crucified people on crosses (I think).

It was the way that St Andrew was crucified. I dont think the scots went in for crucifixion.
