    Hello,

We have a Business Online (not 365 Online) profile with BOI, and my Dad's credit card is linked to this profile. With SCA, are we now required to also have a 365 Online (personal) profile and app so that transation authentication requests for the business credit card can be sent?

My Dad also has a personal BOI MasterCard that was previously accessed using the card management portal that was recently retired. I already know that this card will require a 365 Online profile for SCA, but can both cards (business and personal) be linked to one 365 Online profile?

Finally, how long does it generally take to set up a new 365 Online profile? Does it involve posting usernames and passwords, or can it be done faster in-person at a branch?

    Thank you!

    Hi There,

Thanks for getting in touch with us here today. The business and personal credit card would need to be set up on two separate profiles as business accounts cannot be linked with personal accounts.

To register for banking 365 online we would recommend that you contact our credit card services team directly on 0818 251 251 and one of our colleagues here will be happy to help with this. The team is available from 9am to 5pm Monday to Friday and our colleagues here will be happy to help with this.

    Thanks Jen

    Hi Jen,

Thanks for your reply. This is going to be very confusing for older customers.

To confirm, we'd need to have a separate 365 Online account for both the personal credit card and business credit card, and remember two usernames and passwords?

What happens if we don't register for a 365 Online account for either - will SMS verification codes continue to be sent after August?

Thanks trant for checking back with us.

Yes, that's it, you will need to have separate logins for personal and business credit card. We are in the process of sending SMS to business card users on a phase basis. This will include a User ID and a contact number 0818414365 which you can call and register the card on the automated menu.

If the contact number is not up to date on the credit card, please give a call on 0818251251 to have this amended.

    We're hoping the above helps,

    Many thanks,
    Alison

    Hi Alison,

This information seems to contradict the steps outlined in a recent email from BOI, that suggest a business card CAN be added to a personal 365 Online profile. Could you please clarify? Switching between profiles constantly to approve payments on a mobile device would be very time consuming and confusing.
If you already have a personal or business Bank of Ireland 365 online profile you can add your business credit card to your personal or business profile by following the steps below:

    •  Log in to the Bank of Ireland Mobile app
    •  Go to ‘Services’
    •  Scroll down to ‘Manage Accounts’
    •  Click on ‘Add your Account or Policy’
    •  Select your account type and then type in the requested details

If your business credit card is under a different name to your personal or business current account it cannot be added to your existing 365 profile. If this is the case, please see the ‘I do not have a personal/business current account, what do I need to do’ section below for the steps you will need to take.

When you register your business credit card on your personal or business 365 profile, you will have the following features available to you:

    •  Statement balance
    •  E-statements
    •  View transactions
    •  Change of address
    •  Update statement preferences

    You won’t be able to:

    •  Increase the limit on your business credit card
    •  See details of the overall account
    •  See other cardholders details
    •  Change any information in relation to the credit card account itself.

By registering your business credit card to your personal 365 online profile you agree to the above limited functionality, notwithstanding anything to the contrary in your 365 Phone and Digital Banking Terms and Conditions.

The information above would suggest that we'd first need to register for a 365 Online account for the personal card, then add the business card to that profile. The name is the same on both cards.

    Thanks.

    Hi trant,

Can we check with you if your father has a personal current account already with us and is the personal credit card attached to this or is it just the 2 credit cards personal and business?

    Many thanks,
    Alison

    Hi trant,

To check on it further, it would be best for your Dad to give a call as a colleague can check names are exactly matching on 0818251251. If this is the case, and the card title is not showing any business name, both cards can then be added to the same profile.

    Hoping this helps,

    Many thanks,
    Alison
