I had an issue with an unpaid loan years ago, a while back cant remember the dates. Back in the recession and a few years after. If for example now I was to apply for a loan, who do the banks look to to see how credit worthy an individual is.

Is there companies I can apply to to get my credit report that banks will see?

    Thanks.

Lenders are obliged to check the Central Credit Register for any credit applications of 2000e or more. You can request a copy of your report here: https://www.centralcreditregister.ie/

Sometimes lenders might also check the Irish Credit Bureau, and you can request a copy of your report here:http://www.icb.ie/

Generally the Central Credit Register is more comprehensive since it's a legal obligation to report to, but some people like to request both reports.

The Irish Credit Bureau keep records for 5 years and afaik this is the only check in applying for a loan.

You can also apply for your own report online and it costs €6....
