Mortgage protection insurance

We are having an issue with mortgage protection. Is it possible to switch your mortgage protection after drawdown? The policy we would rather go with will take longer to sort and would rather go with basic to just drawdown then look into the switch when we can.

You can, yes. Just make sure there's no gap in the cover dates.

You can do what you like after drawdown, including not having any, as it's not a legal requirement
