Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Spain let off the hook with some dreadful Swiss penos. Sommer saved one and the first hit the post so the Swiss should have sorted that

Erase all video recordings of this game and never speak of it again!

Glad for Spain. Good to keep some of the better teams in for the future games.

I love penalty shootouts for the sheer drama of them,

but I'll maintain that they are an absolutely horrible way to decide a game.

Well done Spain, though poor tonight.
Spain v Belgium or Italy - hopefully setup for a good one.

Teams rarely win two penalty shootouts in a tournament.
Swiss players were too tired and lost their nerve.

Spanish goalie playing a blinder putting them off.

yeah Simons movement on his line is very off putting for the taker, it would make a player change his mind on where he is shooting. Im pretty sure one of them did and delivered a weak shot that was saved

As poor as Spain were tonight they play better football and will do more to entertain...

Don't fancy Spain at all. Italy all the way for me. Dreadful penalty shoot out.

Italy will humiliate that Spanish team.

I'd be of the opinion the Swiss could have played as good a semi final as the Spanish

Can't see the Spanish doing much except try to maintain possession, gradually advance a high line etc

If they get the run on a team they can score a shedload but it's not the same as a really exciting Attacking team, if they come up against a match or well organised disciplined defensive unit it's just a bland stalemate of a thing most of the time .....hope the Italians if they make it there give them a good hiding.

The Swiss parked the bus after they equalised. That said I’d prefer Italy or Belgium to either Spain or Switzerland

A goal celebrated in all of Italy?
No... they curse it in Sicily as the Mafia has bet big on Belgium!

Bad peno to give away. Still fancy Italy to see this home.

I just walked in to see a sole repay of the foul, was the peno slightly on the soft side ? Looked to be. Belgian player was playing the Italian too with his arm.

Either way a bit of a stupid challenge...

    Some game!
I considered Stephen Kelly to be a birdbrain but he and Des Curran have been very good on commentary - insightful on patterns of play and picking up on things quickly. You can tell they're up for it. Obviously, it was a plum gig but still they've impressed

Belgium not looking great. They remind me of the old england side full of stars but no good together. Furthermore, a manager in the mix who seems too nice and a maybe a bit of a spoofer to boot, a la sven.
