Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

If a genuine question, he’s not in the squad anymore.

Shaw on for Walker wouldn’t be terrible if he doesn’t up his game but I feel Southgate wouldn’t call out his performance like that.

Half time - still feel this could be set up for super sub Grealish

No, wasn't genuine but I'd have actually got excited in that free kick position if he'd have been on. His free kicks have been fantastic this season.

They went very flat after first 20 so I wouldn't mind seeing Walker off.

Oh well, give me an easy life and a peaceful death.

Think this has been the least exciting match that I've seen so far (didn't see the first one).

Some positive stuff for England, but not too much.

Playing some pointless long balls at times and Harry Kane has not been in the match at all.

I know some have eluded to Phillips being a bit of a hatchet man out there, but I think he has done quite well.

The good news for England is that they have plenty of strength on the bench if Southgate can get that right when he changes it.

On a side note, the Ref has performed well.

Harry Kane could have taken a book to read during that half.

Brady says it was a good first half, was pretty unspectacular to me.

If Grealish comes on, he needs to play in his best position which is on the left.

The last 25 minutes of that half were exactly what I was expecting tbh.

Both of them may well be happy with a draw and reckon they can beat the other two.

He's been better than all of them this season.

He really hasn't. He's been okay but he's got a howler in him and other English defenders definitely performed better than him at the purely defensive side of things.

He can be excellent but he as above, he has shown some bad mistakes during the season and failed to learn from them

ratings wise Tarkowski, Mee, dunk and Keane and holding were all better than him. Fomori was excellent all season for Milan. Smalling has been injured for much of the season in fairness.

Mings hasn't even been the best CB at his club this season.

Not sure what people were expecting. Both teams will be happy to go away with a draw as they'd fancy their chances against Scotland and Czechia.

I forgot that the winner of this group plays the runner-up of the group of death, and that the runner-up in this group plays the runner-up in Spain's group (probably Sweden or Poland).

Everytime that Booking.com music comes on I expect to see Maradonna bursting on to the screen to do his warm up.

I don’t disagree with the folk saying Mings is lucky to be in the position he is now and yeah he had brain farts but so far he hasn’t put a foot wrong today.

What game are the BBC lads watching? Thought England have been pretty crap.

More of the same from Sterling, how is Sancho not on the bench? Pretty drab game so far.

JWP is unreal with a dead ball, his stats with dead balls last season were just one goal off a Beckham record

I’d be pissed off if I was Sancho and Chilwell being left out.

Expect Rashford and Grealish to both come on, be interesting to see if he makes any other changes. He will keep things as is until at least the hour unless something surprising happens

And Konsa was over looked by Southgate, yet white was brought

No arguing with that foul and yellow for kovacic but Phillips made basically the same tackle and was awarded an advantage

I think both sides would take a draw here. Given the heat etc. Then battle it out for top spot based on the other group games. Not much goal mouth action very cagey.

Guff about stuff, and stuff about guff.

Getting updates on how the other team is doing in their last group game and trying to win by one less goal to avoid France/Portugal :pac:

    Kane looks shattered.

Hope Croatia win due to how negative Southgate has been.

Wembley is such a useless venue for a summer tournament, the sunlight/shadows are a pain for television coverage.

Yeah it is why I thought second likely plays France and first plays Portugal probably. Or do I have it assways?

I thought Phillips made the wrong decision to cut inside, then he delivers an absolute beauty of a pass for Sterling.

It was poor defending. Another rubbish finish by Sterling. That deflection was probably needed for it to go in.
