Killine Abbey Lake

Hi all, Does anyone know if Fishing is allowed in the lake beside Killene Abbey and if so what kind of fish are in there. I course fish and there doesn't seem to be any options in West Clare. With the kids, i don't have that much spare time to to heading off to East Clare as i usually would

There's loads of coarse fishing around, almost all lakes and rivers would have some, I'd probably head up to Corofin myself but a friend of mine often goes around Kilmaley https://fishinginireland.info/coarse/shannon/

Do you know if there a tackle shop or Angling club in Kilmaley? i hate fishing lakes when its run by clubs and not having paid my dues

Looks like 2 of the reservoirs back there are used for fishing so maybe drop the local water scheme a line and they'll be able to let you know
