    Hi,
I have the above error appearing and one of my DRL's is not working - - went to Halfords to get sorted.
The guy there told me this is a job for the garage as its a specialist BMW part.

Does anybody know the approx cost of such a job and also would this be an NCT fail ?

    thanks

Are you sure one of the DRLs isn't working?
A common problem is a fault with the DRL control module in the wheel arch.

    What year F10 is it?
Some have halogen bulbs, others have LED.

Big problem with the F10 headlights is condensation and the module getting wet.
Swap the module from the other side over and see if it works. Then you know it’s the module.

Just to answer the other issue, a side/DRL light not working is an NCT fail, but it will only be a visual no charge inspection once it's sorted.

Any bulb out is a fail, the only one that requires a retest with charge is a headlight, the rest are all no charge visual inspections. If there are multiple LED's in a light, they will allow it to pass as long as more than 50% of the LED's are working.

Shore, if it was easy, everybody would be doin it.😁

Hi my 2013 F10 5 series is having issue with DRL, car says Side light malfunction. Level adjust malfunction.

lights come in when you lock/unlock the car. But don’t work after cat is started.

I’ve NCT in 2 weeks. Typical timing !!!

is there a handy solution to this issue or do I need to replace both units
