    Ian Bailiey for sure.

He bribed the guard minding the scene so he could get access as a journalist.

Then when he was forensically traced back to the scene nothing could be proven as he’s gotten illegal access.

You need to research this. Absolutely no DNA was found at the scene or her house. The states case is that he didn't bribe anyone & that he had knowledge that wasn't in public domain because he was the attacker. The case never went to court because there was no physical evidence at all.

They are the facts. I still don't know if it was him or not.

Definitely not Guilty, Gardai made a balls of it whether on purpose or not, I do not know. I read somewhere they did not interview her husband, isn't the husband usually the prime suspect in most cases until he is ruled out.

He was a thousand miles away at the time.

    Arms all briar scratches
    Scratch on his forehead
Burned the clothes he was wearing that night for some reason
Knew she wasn't sexually assaulted before it was in the public domain
History of assault and losing control

He did it, guards messed up.

One possibility is he paid someone to do it. Gardai went to France to interview him but French police refused the request and Gardai came home without the interview. Instead of going through the French police to interview him the Gardai gave up on that line of inquiry because it looked too much hassle for them.

Gardai were out of their depth on this one

The fact he was in a different country when she was murderedis why he was never a suspect.

My understanding is Jim Sheridan's documentary is more sympathetic to Bailey. The documentary team developed a close relationship with him.

The netflix documentary focuses more of Sophie and her family.

His story on the night of the murder doesn't really stack up either. The expartner and himself had multiple different versions. Eventually he said he was out in the shed during the night writing an article for possibly up to 3 hours.

Also he denies ever meeting Sophie, but witnesses said he was introduced and was very keen to meet her because he wanted to show her his poems.

Have to agree on those items from the podcast .

Specifically about the scene why did he know all of that and how .

There didn't appear to be any scratches on Bailey in the video of the Christmas Day swim. The burning of clothes only said eyelids of burned boots were identified, no evidence of the black jacket.

Yeah because he was covered from head to toe.
Where is the black jacket then, he handy to check it for someone's DNA.

A black jacket was seized by Gardai, think the Gardas name was PJ, it was in the documentary and seizure mentioned by Bailey's partner. He had his hands and most of face easy to see in the video.

He was topping a tree for Christmas & got the scratches. Think about this. He is supposd to have work his long black coat at time of murder. It would be impossible to get scratches high on his arm with said coat on. He claims to have gotten scratched high up in a tree while topping it for a Christmas tree & he had no coat on at the time

Didn't in fact burn clothes he was wearing. They have Garda inventory of them seizing the coat & having it in evidence. Local Gardai didn't send this to the DPP as part of the evidence. Local Gardai wanted to make the case work. It was never burned

I strongly recommend watching the one on Sky Crime

And no viable scratches on the video

Ah no he was totally covered in the video, you couldn't see his arms or forehead.

Didn't realise the guards have the coat though.

His arms were not visible but given that temperature was near freezing the nights before the swim video there would be no reason to be in a t-shirt unless you were going for the swim, would have actually looked more suspicious than wearing a warm jacket.
