Imagine the US authorities organised to have a plane containing a democratically elected president grounded and searched in case a guy who revealed their nefarious activities was on board and this lot actually do hold nuclear weapons. 🙄 Always do as we say not as we do with these guys...

In a nutshell, anything that happens on the ground is Russia's doing. Ukraine and their far right soldiers have carte blanche to commit any sort of atrocity and if that happens it's a 'false flag' operation from Russia.

    Got it. 👍️

" A top U.S. diplomat in Europe says Russia's troop buildup around Ukraine has ballooned to up to 190,000 – up from just 100,000 just a few weeks ago.

U.S. ambassador to the Organization for Security and Cooperation in Europe Michael Carpenter made the statement Friday, following early statements by security officials that Russia might not yet have the force needed for a full-scale invasion.

'We assess that Russia probably has massed between 169,000-190,000 personnel in and near Ukraine as compared with about 100,000 on January 30,' Carpenter told a meeting of the group."

Oh look, last week it was 100000 and now it's nearly doubled.

The insane exaggeration of numbers by the US.

Of course, we've seen all this before (Gulf War).

This is about it. Russian propagandists will choose to believe literally anything that affirms with their confirmation bias, no matter how ludicrous - and basically everything that comes from the Kremlin these days is laugh out loud ludicrous, in the darkest way possible.

The Kremlin and its surrogates are asking you to believe that after 8 years of not invading occupied Donbas, Ukraine waited until more than 150,000 Russian troops were stationed at its border to do just that -- with chemical weapons. You know what? Some of you will believe it.

The warlords in charge of the DPR and LPR have announced the mass evacuation of all residents in these breakaway states.

    Casus belli inbound

I'm pretty sure Russia could mobilise 90k troops in a week. Are you saying it's impossible because the Russian military is so weak and ineffective?

  • Registered Users Posts: 158 ✭✭Derkaiser93

False. There is plenty of photos out there of the military buildup. From official and independent sources.

The US in the invasion of Iraq did not invade with 1 million troops. They invaded with approx 190k. Iraq also had a much larger army than Ukraine does now.

Separatist Governments in Donetsk and Luhansk have announced a large scale evacuation of citizens, millions of people being evacuated to Russia. They're claiming Ukrainian Government is about to launch a large scale offensive. An invasion is happening, a certainty at this stage.

It really does expose the lie that NATO is attempting "surround Russia". The only significant move in control since the collapse of the USSR has been in the last few weeks, and it is not Georgia, it is not Ukraine (yet). The independent country of Belarus has in the last 18 months lost its independance and is now occupied by the Russian army at the invitation of Europe's most vicious thug.

Lukashenko has sold Belarus and Russia has a result has aggressively moved its border towards NATO. Yet the Kremlin BOTS are on here claiming that it is the US the is encroaching on Russia through Ukraine, wrong Russia has moved its border to Poland, Lithuania, and Latvia by annexing Belarus.

The whole US thing is very weak when it's very obvious that the US is going to do the bare minimum here and sit back and just impose sanctions and the barest of military aid. Biden's administration is very isolationist.

Russia is about to sacrifice thousands of lives now just to prop up Putin who has had his power shaken in the last few months. A land grab and easy victory as he knows the US and Europe will stay mostly out of it.

I find it insane that even an Irish message board has been infested with Putinbots. Really shows how far reaching their False flag operations are extending all across europe. I'd be getting wary if you lived in a former eastern block state.

    Alright lads tell me this.

How exactly is NATO expanding? Oh, by nations making a decision and request to join? Well, that seems reasonable. I can't think of any occasion where NATO invaded, annexed and took political and military control of a country, can you?

You know and I know NATO have no intention of invading Russia. This would be bad. Not to mention, as the point above, NATO do not have any prior behaviour to suggest this would be the case.

The fear of NATO expansion is just a **** cover story for the fact that those in power in Russian just want to assert regional dominance and returning to the Soviet era sphere of influence. Why? Because, there's plentiful resources in these places and Russia is happy enough to put a puppet in charge, let them live a lavish lifestyle while the citizens live in increasing poverty and much reduced civil rights. Win Win for the lads in charge, pilfer resources and crush the populace. Wonderful.

Russia is not defending itself. How does Russia feel threatened by countries joining NATO? What is threatening about that? Imagine an abusive ex-husband feeling threatened because his ex-wife is now taking self defence classes.

    Russia, the US and UK all signed the Budapest Memorandum on Security Assurances. What's that you ask? Well, let's take a look;

    Parties agreed to abandon their nuclear arsenal to Russia in return for;

    1. Respect Belarusian, Kazakh and Ukrainian independence and sovereignty in the existing borders.
    2. Refrain from the threat or the use of force against Belarus, Kazakhstan and Ukraine.
    3. Refrain from using economic pressure on Belarus, Kazakhstan and Ukraine to influence their politics.
    4. Seek immediate Security Council action to provide assistance to Belarus, Kazakhstan and Ukraine if they "should become a victim of an act of aggression or an object of a threat of aggression in which nuclear weapons are used".
    5. Refrain from the use of nuclear arms against Belarus, Kazakhstan and Ukraine.
    6. Consult with one another if questions arise regarding those commitments.

So, yeah go **** yourself Putin. You're breaking agreements all over the place and stirring the pot. No surprise there.

If Russia didn't want NATO expansion towards it's borders then maybe annexing parts of Ukraine, invading Georgia and installing a puppet state in Transnistria were a bad idea. That just made the surrounding areas increasingly wary of the Russian agenda, rightly so given their recent history with how they were treated during the Soviet era.

Finally. It is completely possible to be critical of both the US and Russian imperialism. They are both awful and do an incredible amount of damage to the world. No one is contesting that here (except the usual suspects who keep trying to tell everyone that they're picking on Russia and deflecting to the USA. I have not seen a single person defend the US foreign policy, the topic for discussion is how Russian is currently behaving towards Ukraine.)

Putin though has been prodding the west for years and has seen that there's been no retaliation. Each time Russia has gotten bolder and bolder and this is the result of that excalation. The blatant invasion of an independent country because Russia has tested the west's response and found it weak.

More reports that Russian Seperatists are shelling the border. They must be looking for a response.

  • Registered Users Posts: 40,291 ✭✭✭✭Gatling

That's why they place their tanks , artillery and mortars beside civilian property , knowing the Ukrainians can't hit back or risk civilian casualties and retaliation from Russia

Part 2 BurgerFace,,,, I've just seen a video of the school bombing, and three adults were injured by the bomb / shell. Plus there's a 2nd shell landed outside, in the play area. The video also showed mothers collecting their kids. So these depraved bastards shelled a school, during school hours.....They monsters are driving a coach and four through the Geneva Conventions on War, protection of Civilians. I hope to God that some day they will be accountable for their crimes. And if not in this life then in the next.

    And here's your false flag.

Putin blew up his own people in 1999 to become president. Now he's doing it again to start war.

Separatists are shelling, while the western imperialist lackeys are shilling. 🤣

A hell of a lot of those civilians in the DNR/LNR would be be pro-Ukrainian. Where does Russia plan to send them? Siberian gulags?

That is a level of reach which reveals the lack of anything substantial to use in this overall discussion.

Axis is a commonly used term in military assessments such as the Ministry of Defense might put out. It is defined as "The general area through which the bulk of a unit's combat power must move." See ADP 1-02, it's in effect the military dictionary.
