    Thanks for reply. Glad to hear your lad is making progress, however slow it may be.

    My husband actually went to the chemist earlier and spoke to the pharmacist. They gave us Dulcosoft to try and thankfully he's had two small poos in the last few hours. Also told us to keep him dosed up on Calpol for the next day or two because he's now associating pain with having to do a poo, so try to break that cycle. He's back to being in good form again, but like yourself I know once the urge comes on he'll be in the horrors holding it in again, and that's the tough part. It's just horrible seeing him in pain and not being able to do anything about it.

    The stress is real with this one!
