There was only ever going to one leader at ineos, Carapaz is just waiting, smiling, with the stiletto tucked into his bibs

Would the heels not poke holes through the Lycra?

There's only so many times you can say that Thomas is unlucky. It happens him all the time.

From a supposed 4 to 1 in just 3 days is almost impressive.

    Marginal gains, innit?

Tony Martin averaging a crash per stage. Has to take its toll eventually but he is a double hard bastard!

An awful pity about Gesink - great rider and a big loss for Roglic and co

    Carlton is peak Carlton today

That's just foreplay. If Cav pulls off the win, Carlton is going to have "a little moment", live on air.

Shame for Thomas, I hope he recovers quickly. Olympic gold and Tour victory but seems to have more downs than ups. If one of the Slovenians is to win, I want them beating a fit Thomas (or any Ineos leader) for added credibilty, if you get me.

Ineos all in for Bernal from next year, anyway.

Odd comment. No lack of credibility with either of them

How many different ways can they pronounce Michael Mørkøv's name today....

  • Registered Users Posts: 14,303 ✭✭✭✭retalivity

I quite like Cav and would like to see him win on the Tour again, but if it happens with Carlton commentating I may have to just switch off

Rob Hatch would give it a good go, if he's on duty?

Not odd at all. You want the best beating the best.

For some reason, he seems to take particular pride in pronouncing David Gaaaaawwwwduuuuuuuuuuu!

Morkov was cruising across the line while the rest of them were going hell for leather. If he kept pedalling he would have won that sprint

Should Cavendish be leading out Morkov?

Rob leaves nothing in the dressing room when it comes to foreign pronunciations.

There's not much to suggest that Thomas is the best or even near it these days

  • Registered Users Posts: 2,917 ✭✭✭De Bhál

The commentators are fairly lumping all in on Cavandish. Non stop now for the last 15km pretty much, still 20 to go and they're still yapping about him.

I'd love to see Cavandish win one but hard to see beyond Calab Ewan for me.

Was supposed to do the Giro instead but he still has back problems. He hates the tour and all it's media drama
