Hi all,
Vanilla are planning an update to the site on April 24th (next Wednesday). It is a major PHP8 update which is expected to boost performance across the site. The site will be down from 7pm and it is expected to take about an hour to complete. We appreciate your patience during the update.

    Write 300 words on any topic, post it here.

    I know from my own experience that writers are always looking for the 'right time' to write, always seeking the elusive appropriate moment. Well the appropriate moment is now.

    I've just begun a writing challenge with a friend, where we are going to write 300 words on any topic every day throughout July, and this might appeal to some other users.

    Post every day, or whenever you want. Having a target can provide some much-needed structure.

    300 words a day is a perfect challenge. Keeping it going every single day will be a stretch but if you can do it 9 days out of 10 you’ll find yourself developing a habit. Then when August comes, keep it going!
