Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Nonsense players from your province are terrible and overrated players from my province are world class and only don't get picked due to bias

Mine are the reason we are doing so well.

That’s a penalty, thank god it was spotted in the end

And **** me that’s a bad injury to the leg for Matsushima.

POM has done well today. Good in the lineout. Shored up the restarts. Try assist and a latch for Bealham's try.

    He’s been Ireland’s best player

    Another injury

You can find some decent individual performances. POM, Keenan, VDF etc.

That's not the issue. As a unit it's been an absolute shambles.

Keenan, Doris and VDF about the only Irish players coming out of this with any real credit so far.

    Yep agreed.

The jap subs last week made a massive difference agains the lions, not sure they are making all the changes they want here but they could do well here considering we have some players underperforming

Commentator mistakes Dillane for VDF :)

Efficient clinical stuff - very nice.

    Jaysus

Some venom in that carry from VDF.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 17,300 ✭✭✭✭razorblunt

VDF’s carries have been brilliant, great lines and great pace.

This is the crux of it.
Better stuff for that last try.

Two excellent plays by JGP for the last two Irish trys

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 7,612 ✭✭✭eigrod

Gibson Park has played well too

  • Registered Users Posts: 1,038 ✭✭✭TomsOnTheRoof

How long are we going to have to wait for changes?

  • Registered Users Posts: 12,920 ✭✭✭✭stephen_n

That was better, some really good direct carrying with quick recycle.

Good to see Stockdale coming on and making an impact straightaway

Ireland growing into the game in the 2nd half to be fair. Worth keeping in mind this is a largely new team also

This is it. We don’t look cohesive as a team and I don’t know what the game plan really is. Great to see players doing well but that can only count for so much when the team as a whole is misfiring.

well done Stockdale, first time i heard his name tho...

    Time for Coombes now

  • Registered Users Posts: 2,098 ✭✭✭UAEguy2020

Next score is key, if Ireland get it I think the game could get away from Japan but if Japan score we will be back where we started.

He looks like he's decided to stamp a bit more authority on the game. We look so much better at pace.

Should the Japan catcher be penalised for the clearly dangerous and purposely lash out with his foot before landing?

What is Daly at out there?!

  • Registered Users Posts: 5,924 ✭✭✭KH25

Once again our defending is awful. Ran by 3 of our players at the start.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 7,612 ✭✭✭eigrod

There’s an air of 7’s about this

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 17,300 ✭✭✭✭razorblunt

I know there’s no bonus points but these Japanese tries deserve one each!

    So so porous.

How did we have so few numbers out wide. Lads asleep or just really badly organised.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 17,225 ✭✭✭✭Clegg

Like, Japan have an excellent offloading game. But our defence really isn't up to snuff. It took one broken tackle to out us at a 4 on 1 disadvantage.

And ofcourse no interest in doing g this the easy way…

    Aimless enough from Joey

As always, and I mean as long as I can remember, we get destroyed by teams who play fast attacking with an in your face defense

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 37,978 ✭✭✭✭irishbucsfan

Japan scoring some quality tries here. Tony Brown must be delighted with this

    Yes but it's never given

5 on 2 for Japan in the Irish 22…****ing hell.

  • Registered Users Posts: 6,186 ✭✭✭munsterlegend

Shocking kick by Carbery. Kicking aimless balls to Japan
    and this happens

  • Hosted Moderators Posts: 8,140 ✭✭✭fitz

McCloskey and Daly liabilities in defense.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 10,574 ✭✭✭✭AbusesToilets

Ryan is on lads, game in the bag

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 8,617 ✭✭✭lawrencesummers

After Joey kicked an Irish back with orange boots turned and started sprinting to the opposite wing, taking No account of the numbers and the incoming Japan counter attack.

Must find out who it was because it left a massive gap. Think it was JGP

There was no need for that kick and then he didn’t even find touch. It’s just headless.

We'll be lucky to see Coombes on I'd say.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 17,225 ✭✭✭✭Clegg

Doris has the great ability of getting better as the game goes on. Keeps making big carries well into the second half of games.

Carbery kicks ahead, Japanese player catches ball and runs into tackle, offloads to create a 3 on zero?
