Marathon and Half Marathon - Oct 24th - Shanes Castle Co Antrim

If you want your Dublin Marathon fix on the correct date of Oct 24th there is a Marathon at the Shanes Castle Estate Co Antrim that day. There is a Half, Half Relay (10k leg each runner), Marathon and Marathon relay.

It means you could do the Dublin Virtual Marathon in person. I'm working on getting the goodies from Dublin so runners could get them in their hands on the day.

Its a 13 mile lap of the estate on tarmac and concrete roads, flat and scenic and got great feedback in Sept 2020 when we did a race there last.

You can do the warmup event on Sept 19th when we will have a half marathon at the same location and there is a specially priced entrants bundle where you can get the Half on Sept 19th and the full marathon on Oct 24th for £50, saving £15 on the separate entry fees.

Is there a route map for this event?

Will there be water stations and if so what's the spacing between them?

Route map is not much use to you as its all on roads and paths in the estate apart from a short road section near the beginning of each of the two laps. But its flat with a few gentle inclines.

Water stations at 10k, 14km, 23km and 27km

There are only 10 places available in the Marathon distance to get a guaranteed medal after the race and there are 20 places in the Half Marathon to get a guaranteed medal so dont delay with your entry. 10k option also available, no medal but there is a t shirt.
