Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Can a person book and take driving lessons at the moment? I contacted one instructor a few weeks ago and they said that only essential workers were able to book lessons

Yea you just have to sign a form online declaring yourself an essential worker.

I thought that was just for the test itself? Or also the lessons?

Had a look at the RSA website. Saw a Covid-19 Services Update dated 27th July 2021 and I noted the following paragraph:

    Essential Driver Training

Approved Driving Instructors (ADI's) can now deliver EDT training to all drivers, regardless of status. As a result, the RSA can confirm that ADIs can now resume delivering lessons to all customers regardless of their status. Learner drivers no longer need to complete the ‘essential worker’ self-declaration form and present it to an ADI to take EDT or non-EDT lessons.

ADI’s must also continue to adhere to Government and HSE guidelines taking all necessary and appropriate measures to prevent the spread of Covid 19.

I hope this is true. I seriously need to get back doing lessons.
