Hi all,
Vanilla are planning an update to the site on April 24th (next Wednesday). It is a major PHP8 update which is expected to boost performance across the site. The site will be down from 7pm and it is expected to take about an hour to complete. We appreciate your patience during the update.

How to record screen on laptop with sound

    I need to start making video recordings of a daily online live class with sound. So essentially recording the screen. I know how to do it on iPhone and iPad but I haven’t enough storage.


    Can someone tell me how to do this on a Dell Windows laptop please?


    It’s roughly 1 hour 20 mins each day and I can delete it each day after 24 hours.

    I was hoping this would just record the live and audio and not capture background noise! Is there anyway setting I can turn off that it won’t capture phones ringing in the background or voices or hairdryers etc!

    I’ve tried it several times, Windows… it’s records the screen perfectly but never with sound

    You can spend twenty grand on gear and refurbishments to the environment you record from and hope from the best :D
