Sounds riveting but I, unfortunately, missed that.

Luckily, Claire Byrne addressed the Toy Show Musical mess this morning so Joe received zero calls about it this afternoon and was able to focus on the 2nd most pressing issue of the day. Caller driven show and dat.

    I see I missed a classic today.

If there is any objectivity and sense of justice to be found in any of the Liveline team, the programmes on the Jays Fluid Wimmins football team of 50 years ago and today's show should make the top 10 low points of Two Twenty Two.

  • Joe Duffy, de Christmas Unmusical

    Opening song:

Dashing through the dirt In a one-horse open hearse

    O'er the fields we go

    Crying all the way

    Bell in church tower tolls

    Making spirits dark

How sad it is to ride and sing

    A mournful song tonight, oh!

Funeral bell, funeral bell, funeral all the way Oh, how sad it is to ride In a one-horse open hearse, hey!

Funeral bell, funeral bell, funeral all the way

Oh how sad it is to ride In a one-horse open hearse

    Now the ground is grey

    Go out while you're young

    Take the ghouls tonight

    Sing this funeral song

    Get a bobtailed bay

    Two forty for his speed

And hitch him to an open hearse

And you will take the lead

Oh, funeral bell, funeral bell, funeral all the way

Oh, how sad it is to ride In a one-horse open hearse, hey!

Funeral bell, funeral bell, funeral all the way

Oh, how sad it is to ride In a one-horse open hearse

Oh, how sad it is to ride In one horse open hearse!

I think I will bid this thread farewell for two 0 two two.

Instead of doing dry January, it's a miserable enough feckin month as it is, I think I'll give up Liveline for the sake of my head. Its surely not worth all that pain (I will tell you about the pain some time Joe) for the very occasional Nugget of silver or even rarer Nugget of gold.

Wising all the regulars here a good one.

Joe will be in wind down mode, so to speak. Giddy with excitement at the prospect of the Grafton Street and de funny froyday gang who will get day release from de care home.

I've no choice but to listen today though a little pretend Duffy-canteen-coddle-belly could get me out of it for a short while.

    Happy Christmas and New Year!

Has it really been a year since he's done this, or was it done a while back as well? It doesn't feel like its been that long since we've been through this.

In fairness, some of these books can be a bit quirky. There's a fierce amount of sh*te published by regular publishers as well including books that would never see the light of day of it weren't for grants.
