    brilliant bit of kit.

    you can dream up an idea, draw it up and printing in a few hours.

    its amzing to have that level of percision and creativity at a domestic level

    Yerp, second that it is something everyone should own and learn. Granted you may not use it every day but if you are any way creative it can scratch that itch. Owning one can and will save you lots of money because there is always something useful you can print whether it is a doorstop or some sort of bracket or hard to find part, pays for itself. If you have one there is always that question you can ask when you are thinking of buying something. Can I print this?

    There is a learning curve if you want to create something, if you have any sort of 2d design experience like vector graphics it will be much easier to learn how to create something in 3d. I'd say about 1 month of basics with 3d software and you would have enough knowledge to create anything and print it.

    Yes. A fantastic buy, well worth it and has paid for itself a number of times over. Printed all sorts of builds, if you can imagine it, within reason you can print it.

    Before even beginning to model/draw anything, always do check thingiverse & GrabCAD, more often than not someone may already have already done the same thing.
