Celtic tigher devlopers

Something that has come up in my newsfeed got me thinking of this.

Would it be possible today for two bricklayers or plasters or QS's to become billionaire property developers in Ireland of today has it all changed too much?

Hopefully, if it did happen they'd be the quiet cautious type who don't end up losing all their money.

I am related to someone who was a very very minor developer as in one or two houses and was lucky to get out before it all crashed and that was just luck.

Good point a lot of the Celtic tiger developers started in the 70s and 80s or they came from wealthy families, the person I am related to it was the early 90s when they started so just before things went mad they had no money except what they earned.
