Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

New boiler install - Any advantage going with a utility company vs usual RGI installers

    Hi ,

I am getting quotes to get a new boiler installed. I tried utility companies also. Their quote is a bit on the high side however my thinking was that they would act as a safety net i.e.

--be more answerable in case install is troublesome

--post install something happens and more work is needed

Is this a good logic or once install is done, you are on your own with manufacturer's warranty and does starting with a utility company help more than getting installed with a lone RGI installer?

Most likely they have a list of installers they use.

    What's the price difference?

    Approx 150 Euros.

A utility company’s biggest priority is to get in and out of your household as quick as they possibly can.

get a recommendation from a friend of a reliable RGI

+1 on DPTs advice, unless you want a subcontractor who has no contract directly with you.

Saying that, some take pride in their work. 👍️
