BBC News have reported tonight that at least 227 people have been killed in an Earthquake measuring 7.2 on the richter scale. Hundreds of people are reported to be injured or missing which hit the area since Saturday morning local time. The 1st tremor from this earthquake that occurred today hit 125 metres away from Port-Au-Prince. Haiti's prime minister has said that has been extensive damage in parts of the country. He has declared a month long state of emergency in the region.

Jesus. This news is absolutely horrific for the people living there right now. This event is even more disasterous when compared to 2010. They were still recovering from the earthquake which happened in 2010. I hope the response from the public and governments can be much bigger than what was given to them back then.
