Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

I never disputed the car owner should be out of pocket, Im just a bit surprised anyone thinks any money for it comes from anywhere other than the dog owners pocket, even if they had pet insurance it may not cover it and if they have house insurance that may not cover it, Im on the side of the car owner slightly, but if there isnt actual proof the dog actually did this other than they have footage of it at the damaged car, then Im not certain they will be getting compensated by anyone.

A dog simply did not do all that. Unless it was a Bear in a Labrador mask.

Tell em, without proof, to foff.

You have the same weight going through a much smaller contact patch, so the pressure has to be increased accordingly.

If the dog damaged the car why should it not be paid for. Should the neighbour just suck It up and pay for it themselves?

Was the car a Rover by any chance?

Only pay for what damage was visibly done contained in video. We haven't seen the video so can't comment on what needs to be done.

I think the main question the OP is asking is there is an admission that the dog did some damage but suspects other work is being claimed for.

    Need to see video

What's disgusting is that some people think it's ok to walk away from their legal responsibilities.

If your dog damages a parked car it's no different than if you reversed into it. In both cases you are fully liable for all damage caused and tbh only an utter scumbag would attempt to deny their responsibility.

    Scrap the cap!
