Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

New Gas Boiler - Do I have to upgrade all pipework?

Hi all. Recently moved into a house with an old Potterton gas boiler which I would like to upgrade. If I were to upgrade, do I need to update pipework to go with? Also, if I want zoned controls, would I have to upgrade pipework too?

    Thanks,

    TJ

No, not necessarily as long as it's in good condition.

As far as zoning, you may need to make adjustments to the pipework, anything from minor adjustments to floors up and a lot of disruption.

When getting a new boiler always ensure that the quotation includes a magnetic filter and power flushing the heating system, pipework and radiators clean.
